Jordan Pefok hit the back of the net once again on Sunday, scoring the only goal in Borussia Monchengladbach’s 2-1 home loss vs. Augsburg in Matchday 18 of the Bundesliga.
The D.C. native has been having nothing short of an impressive start to his loan spell with The Foals, becoming one of the team’s top scorers with just a short amount of minutes on the pitch.
Pefok’s goal came at just the 26th minute after a very high lobbed pass, followed by a series of rebounds between the American and the opposition, leaving the striker the easy duty to basically pass the ball into an open net for the match opener.
This is his fourth goal of the 2023-24 Bundesliga season.

This was the 27-year-old’s eighth goal contribution across all competitions (six goals and two assists) in just 678 minutes played this season.
The American arrived on a season-long loan to Monchengladbach from Union Berlin this season looking to increase his minutes and goalscoring tally ahead of what looks like an important summer for all USMNT players looking to get themselves into Gregg Berhalter’s 2024 Copa América roster, Pefok included.
The striker has not received a call-up to the national squad since March of 2022 for World Cup qualifier fixtures and will be looking to make a return in 2024.
