When you think of the worst flops in soccer you think of names like Neymar and Arjen Robben. A recently unearthed Aston Villa Micah Richards flop might join the Mount Rushmore of flops.
The ridiculous flop was shown during CBS’ coverage of the Champions League with Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Richards. Liverpool legend Carragher was critical of Manchester City youngster Micah Hamilton flopping during the game vs. Red Star Belgrade.
He criticized the theatrics of Hamilton, but the real bit he was getting to was comparing that dive on the floor to a heinous flop from his fellow pundit Richards.

Back in the days before VAR it was all about putting on an Oscar-worthy performance with the flop. Richards clearly knew the forbidden tactics of the flop and turned into an Olympic high-dive expert.
Put this dive into the flop of fame and give Richards the Fallon d’Floor.
CBS have undoubtedly the most entertaining broadcast crew in all of soccer. It’s easy to tell how much fun they have with one another.
Fans will be without their regularly scheduled CBS Champions League entertainment for a bit as the competition will go on a slight hiatus. The draw for the Round of 16 will take place on Monday and the next games won’t be played until mid-February.
