The hype for the 2023 Women’s World Cup continues to build as the tournament is only four months away. New adidas Women’s World Cup kits released on Thursday added to the excitement as the sportswear giant unveiled some works of art.
Six away Women’s World Cup kits for Germany, Spain, Japan, Sweden, Argentina and Colombia were shown off. All the tops draw inspiration from the beauty and geography of each country. The result is six truly remarkable kits.
We took it upon ourselves to rate each of the six kits.
Rating the new adidas Women’s World Cup kits
6. Sweden: 6/10

Coming in at No. 6 is Sweden’s kit inspired by the glaciers, ice caps and frozen landscape of the country. The idea is definitely there, and the shirt looks awesome when it has the icy water in the background. It doesn’t look as awesome when someone is wearing it.
The issue we had was that it kind of reminded us of those old swimsuits you would wear as kid. It’s not a bad kit, we just thought it didn’t quite stack up against the other five on this list.
5. Argentina: 7/10
6. Argentina

Next on the list is Argentina. The idea behind this kit was for the beautiful landscapes across the nation. The mountain range of Serranía de Hornocal in the north of the country all the way down to the Tierra del Fuego archipelago in the south and everything in-between went into the creation of the kit.
We think this is a solid kit. No real complaints.
4. Colombia: 7/10

This astro-looking kit actually pays homage to the many hues of the Caño Cristales River – aka the ‘River of Five Colors’. pic.twitter.com/SnYVIP9igv— VERSUS (@vsrsus) March 23, 2023

Colombia’s away World Cup kit is based off the Caño Cristales River which is known for its changing of colors. The colors and flow of water reflect in the kit to make a truly beautiful top.
We put Colombia’s kit ahead of Argentina’s and again have nothing but compliments for this design.
3. Spain 8/10
3. Spain
Coral reefs are found across Spain's coasts. They're also famously found in the tournament’s host nations of Australia and New Zealand. pic.twitter.com/n4WCOaJMmZ— VERSUS (@vsrsus) March 23, 2023

Spain’s amazing coastlines and coral reefs make up the kit. The light blue ocean water makes up the center of the shirt while surrounded by purple coral.
This is a winner right here. Love this kit.
2. Japan 8/10
1. Japan

The sunrises in Japan are some of the most famous in the world. adidas did a magnificent job putting the pink sunrises at Mount Fuji on a kit.
Getting a pink kit to look good isn’t an easy task and has been butchered plenty of times. Japan won’t need to worry about that this summer as they will be wearing one of the best kits at the World Cup.
1. Germany 10/10
2. Germany
Inspired by the country’s vast woodland. Think the Black Forest. pic.twitter.com/uLHKOfZ6kq— VERSUS (@vsrsus) March 23, 2023

Germany is full of forests covering the landscape and adidas took the forest to the kit. The famous Black Forest and Zauberwald are represented with the foliage pattern that makes up the shirt.
This is one of the best kits we’ve ever seen. It’s fitting that adidas saved the best for Germany. An absolute masterpiece from adidas and potentially the best kit that will be worn in Australia and New Zealand this summer.
