United States women’s national team head coach Vlatko Andonovski revealed the 2023 USWNT SheBelieves Cup roster on Wednesday. This tournament will be the team’s biggest test ahead of the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The latest USWNT roster has three changes from the January roster that played two friendlies in New Zealand. Hailie Mace and Sam Coffey were both dropped, and Megan Rapinoe returns after missing the last two games with an ankle injury.

Reigning NWSL MVP Sophia Smith is still out with an ankle injury that Andonovski previously said wasn’t serious.
The USWNT could fill a barracks with the number of injuries the team has. Catarina Macario (ACL), Samantha Mewis (ACL), Kelly O’Hara (hip), Tobin Heath (knee) and Christen Press (ACL) are all in the process of recovering from major injuries.
With two friendlies in April and a send-off before the World Cup, Andonovski will have a tough time picking the final roster for the World Cup which starts on July 20.
The 2023 SheBelieves Cup is loaded with talent as Japan, Canada and Brazil will provide a serious test for the USWNT.
