El Colosal Error De Pep Guardiola: Confundió Al América Con Chivas

Pep Guardiola es un hombre versado en torno al fútbol mundial, pero en la conferencia previa al amistoso entre el Manchester City y el América se le cruzaron los cables del ático y acabó haciendo una declaración imperdonable para los aficionados del equipo mexicano, al confundir a sus amadas Águilas con su máximo enemigo, las Chivas Rayadas de Guadalajara.

Pep Guardiola confunde al América con Chivas

Consultado sobre lo que significaba enfrentar al América, Guardiola quiso florearse en la respuesta echando mano a su paso por la Liga MX como jugador – los seis meses que estuvo en Dorados de Sinaloa en la campaña 2006-07 –, pero lo que salió de su boca fue un disparate que será difícil de olvidar.

"Sé que tiene una historia detrás. Tuve la suerte de estar en México y descubrí que América es especial, por jugar todos jugadores mexicanos", señaló causando inmediatas miradas de extrañeza.

¿El problema? En México, el equipo que tiene como política y tradición jugar solo con futbolistas mexicanos es Chivas, archirival americanista.

La metida de pata es titánica. Es como si el técnico del América, Fernando Ortiz, hubiera dicho que admira al Manchester City desde los años de Sir Alex Ferguson. O algo por el estilo.

En Chivas, obviamente, quisieron sacar ganancias de la situación y en redes sociales señalaron que el equipo estaba en la mente de sus 40 millones de simpatizantes "incluido Pep".

La jugada, en todo caso, no estuvo libre de troleo ante la reciente contratación de Santiago Ormeño. El jugador nació en México y es mexicano bajo la constitución, pero en su calidad de seleccionado peruano ha generado un largo, latoso y chauvinista debate sobre los estatutos de Chivas.
