Tri Femenil Entrega Su Nómina Para Duelo Ante Argentina: ¿Dónde Está La Goleadora De La Liga MX?

El próximo sábado 23 de octubre, en Tepatitlán, Jalisco, la selección femenil de México continuará su preparación para las clasificatorias rumbo a Australia / Nueva Zelandia 2023, enfrentándose a su similar de Argentina. La entrenadora del Tri, Mónica Vergara dio hoy la nómina de jugadoras para el amistoso con una notable ausencia: Alicia Cervantes.

La delantera de Chivas vive hoy un gran momento. Es líder de goleo de la Liga MX con 13 conquistas y su nombre comienza a hacer ruido en los rumores de transferencia, con España y Estados Unidos como posibles destinos.

Sin embargo, pese a que ambos son argumentos de peso para solicitar su presencia, su nombre no pasó el corte.

Hasta ahora no hay una razón oficial en torno a su marginación. No obstante, sí hay una teoría: el día 26 de octubre Argentina también disputará un amistoso con... ¡Chivas! y, al parecer, el técnico del Rebaño Sagrado, Edgar Mejía, habría pedido no convocarla ni a ella ni a otras figuras del club para poder preparar dicho partido. Eso explicaría también que solo haya una jugadora del equipo en esta convocatoria.

De ser verdad, la pregunta que queda para todos los estamentos involucrados es qué es más importante, ¿un amistoso de la selección con el objetivo de prepararse para una eliminatoria mundialista o un amistoso anecdótico entre un club y una selección extranjera?

La respuesta es evidente, porque la pregunta era retórica.
