Coritiba and São Paulo met yesterday in a Brazil Serie A match, which saw striker Joel score two goals in a 3-1 victory. Now, we’re not here to talk about the game or even the pretty sweet goal that Joel scored. We’re here to talk about the giant, random hole that he fell into during his second celebration.
The hole actually wasn't truly random. It was a set of stairs that led to the dressing rooms, but for some reason someone decided to put a huge Coritiba flag over it. The security guys didn’t really give their best effort to warn Joel either. Talk about sleeping on the job.
He emerged from the hole a little dazed, but then things got worse. The referee was waiting for him will a yellow card for excessive celebration. Come on ref, cut him some slack! Check it out.
