Messi Regains Status As The Most Humble Superstar In The Game

The Barcelona superstar called his goals in the UEFA Super Cup "lucky." As if.

Barcelona won the UEFA Super Cup Tuesday and Messi was the star with two free kick goals. His immense talent was on display, and one lunatic is claiming Messi's goals were due to luck. That lunatic is Lionel Messi.

"I've just been lucky enough to score those and I'm very happy the team won and very grateful to everyone for their support and such a warm welcome," Messi said after the game.

We do not believe Messi for a second when he says this, but it's nice that he's making an effort at being humble when he really is the person who most deserves to not be humble.

If Messi was as talented as he seems to think, he'd be playing for Celta Vigo or Getafe, one of those teams he seems to perpetually score hat tricks on.

Come on, Messi, you don't have to be this humble. We know you're really stinkin' good. You're not fooling anyone. We can see you.

At least now we know what Messi looks like when he's lying.
