Man United Coach Blames Liverpool’s Klopp For Not Getting Enough Penalty Calls

Manchester United are not being awarded penalties this season after a "certain manager" last term expressed concern they were being given too many, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said on Friday.

Solskjaer criticised officials last week for denying Cristiano Ronaldo two "stonewall" penalties in the 2-1 league win at West Ham United.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp earlier this year said United have had more spot-kicks in two years under Solskjaer than Liverpool have in his entire five-and-a-half year reign.

Barça Reaches New Low As Busquets Kicks Extraneous Ball At Opponent To Deny Scoring Opportunity

Barcelona was always going to struggle after Lionel Messi left. The club was already on a downward trajectory before the legendary No. 10 skipped town, but even ardent Barça fans have to admit this is even worse than they expected. The club reached a new nadir this season when Sergio Busquets kicked a ball at an opponent to stop a scoring chance in the final moments of a 0-0 draw with Cádiz on Thursday.

There was some good news and some bad news from UEFA on Thursday. The good: European football’s governing body announced it will double the prize money available for the 2022 Women’s Euros. The bad: The Women’s Euro prize money is a miniscule fraction of the men’s Euro prize money.

Bethany’s Burritos: Balcer Details Her Insulting Reward For Winning 2019 NWSL Rookie Of The Year

I finally got around to watching the “LFG” documentary on the USWNT’s fight for equal pay earlier this week. My delay was mostly justified, as there wasn’t really any new information for anyone who has been paying attention to the saga over the last five years, but it was a good opportunity to see some of the world’s best footballers off the pitch and a strong reminder of the ongoing struggles women’s soccer players face.

Bosnian Player Has Career Ended After Getting Nutmegged TWICE By A Dog Mid-Game

A player in Bosnia and Herzegovina probably went to sleep contemplating life on Tuesday after he was nutmegged twice by a dog during a Bosnian Premier League game. Watch as the dog nutmegs soccer player, does some extra gnawing and then goes back for seconds on the poor guy.

What Was The Point Of Beating Paraguay 17-0, U.S. Soccer?

The U.S. women’s national team cruised to an 8-0 victory in a friendly on Tuesday night in Cincinnati, hometown hero Rose Lavelle providing a goal and three assists in the process. It was a second straight win over Las Guaraníes after a 9-0 triumph on Thursday in Cleveland, essentially part of U.S. Soccer’s bronze-medal victory tour after the Olympics.

After watching the USWNT twice destroy Paraguay by a combined 17-0 over the past week, I found myself wondering: What the fuck was the point of it all? Is this really good the U.S.? For Paraguay? For the game? For anyone?

Neymar Gets Paid Millions Just For Good Behavior — What Would That Clause Look Like For Us Normal Folk?

Back in April, Paris Saint-Germain signed mercurial superstar Neymar to a contract extension to 2025 — a bit of a surprising move considering the frequent dissonance between the two parties.

Recently the contents of this contract have been released, and the number of zeroes next to the Brazilian's salary make it abundantly clear why he stayed in France.
