Carli Lloyd, Crystal Dunn Get Own Super Bowl Commercial Promoting Equality, Deodorant

This past summer, USWNT superstar Carli Lloyd went viral when she showed off her kicking skills at a Philadelphia Eagles practice. Lloyd hit a perfect field goal and rumors flew around that she would be joining the NFL in the near future.

Lynn Williams’ Shoeless Assist Sparks USWNT In Olympic Qualifying

Alex Morgan is pregnant, expecting a child in April. Her No. 13 jersey is doing just fine without her.

Lynn Williams, wearing the lucky No. 13 jersey, had a goal and an assist to help the USWNT eventually beat a tough Haiti 4-0 in the opener of the Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship on Tuesday in rainy Houston.

16-Year-Old Australian Handed First Start In W-League And Promptly Scores

Hana Lowry, a 16-year-old Australian midfielder, marked her first W-League start on Jan. 23 with a rocket header in the 22nd minute to start the scoring spree off for Perth Glory in the club’s 4-2 victory over Newcastle Jets. As a Perth local, Lowry became the fifth-youngest player to score on their starting debut in W-League history.

Aussie Player Hilariously Cusses Up A Storm On Live TV Over Accidental Goal

Tessa Tamplin is one of our new favorite players in the game. Like compatriot Sam Kerr, she doesn’t give a fuck what she says on camera.

On Thursday, the Newcastle Jets suffered a 4-2 defeat to the Perth Glory in the W-League. It wasn’t exactly a great game for the Jets, who have lost seven straight and sit eighth out of nine teams.

But Tamplin provided a bit of levity both during and after the match for Newcastle.

Watch: USWNT, NWSL Featured In Budweiser’s Super Bowl Commercial

The Super Bowl is around the corner, a time when all Americans gather around a TV to shovel nachos into their mouths while drinking copious amounts of beer, all under the guise of watching that abating sport called American football. Of course, all anyone really cares about, besides the food and beer, is the commercials, and we got our nacho-covered hands on the latest 2020 Budweiser Super Bowl ad on Thursday.

10 Things We Miss Most About Playing Youth Soccer

As we grow older, we find less and less time to play the sport we grew up loving so dearly. No longer do we play soccer five to seven days a week as we did in our youth. Hell, finding time to play once a month is hard enough.

But still we reminisce about the days of yore, when weeknights were filled with going to practice or playing pick-up games at the park and weekends were loaded with games and tournaments.

Sam Kerr Opens Her Chelsea Account In 4-1 Hammering Of Arsenal

A sell-out crowd at Arsenal’s Meadow Park stadium was witness to the rapidly turning tide of the FA WSL as Chelsea stormed to a 3-0 halftime lead before securing a 4-1 victory to remain undefeated after 12 matches.

Arsenal’s the most successful club in the division’s eight-year history with three titles — including last year’s triumph when Chelsea finished third — but the Blues issued a statement of intent by signing Norway’s Guro Reiten in May before adding Australia’s Sam Kerr back in November, and both of the club’s marquee signings got on the scoreboard today.

Mal Pugh Left Off USWNT Olympic Qualifying Roster

Coach Vlatko Andonovski announced his 20-woman USWNT Olympic qualifying roster on Friday with a few surprises.

Mal Pugh, who competed at the 2016 Olympics as an 18-year-old and helped the U.S. win the 2019 Women’s World Cup, was left off the roster. Pugh was one of five players on Jill Ellis’ squad last summer omitted from the USWNT Olympic qualifying roster.

11 Most Annoying Things About Being An American Soccer Fan

Ahh soccer. Yes, soccer. Not football, but soccer. American soccer.

Americans who follow the world’s game have it tougher than footie fans just about anywhere else on the planet. In the U.S., soccer isn’t the most popular sport — it’s not even in the top four — providing unique challenges to those who love the beautiful game.

But American soccer fans persist, because our love for the game is greater than any annoyance.

Here are 11 most annoying things about being an American soccer fan:
