Six away Women’s World Cup kits for Germany, Spain, Japan, Sweden, Argentina and Colombia were shown off. All the tops draw inspiration from the beauty and geography of each country. The result is six truly remarkable kits.

FIFA aims for equal prize money between men's and women's World Cups by 2027

KIGALI - Prize money for the 2023 Women's World Cup will be $150 million, 10 times what it was in 2015 and three times the amount of 2019, FIFA president Gianni Infantino announced in his closing remarks to the 73rd FIFA Congress on Thursday.

The figure, however, is still considerably lower than the $440 million total prize money awarded at the men's World Cup in Qatar last year.

In what would be a first for women, Infantino wants some of the prize money to go to the players.

Hope restored in France after manager Corinne Diacre is finally fired

PARIS - France women's national soccer team coach Corinne Diacre has been sacked on the recommendation of the Executive Committee, the French soccer federation (FFF) said on Thursday.

Former France captain Wendie Renard said last month she would not play at this year's World Cup and French multimedia outlet RMC Sport reported that Renard said she would not represent the national side as long as Diacre is in charge.

With just over 130 days to go until the 2023 Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, the hype within the host nations has already reached fever pitch. Australia's Matildas open play on July 20 against Ireland with a crowd of over 80,000 expected in Sydney.

With kick-off less than 20 weeks away (135 days) and Wednesday serving as the global celebration of International Women's Day, FIFA marked the occasion by unveiling the official poster for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The main poster is accompanied by one for each of the nine host cities, "highlighting the iconic and historical landmarks, wildlife and vibrant cultures that are unique to each."

U.S. Soccer could have two new venues to call home in the coming years as Indianapolis and Hawaii are preparing to construct new stadiums. 

In Indianapolis the $1 billion Eleven Park is set to break ground in May 2023 which will include a 20,000-seat soccer stadium for USL Championship side Indy Eleven. There are also ambitions to bring a Major League Soccer team to the city.

President of France's soccer federation resigns amid harassment allegations

PARIS — Noel Le Graet has resigned as president of France's soccer federation amid allegations of harassment and sexual harassment and a government ministry audit this month that concluded the 81-year-old no longer had "the necessary legitimacy" for the job.

Le Graet, head of the French Football Federation since 2011, stepped back last month amid a legal investigation into allegations against him of sexual and moral harassment and after an audit and report commissioned by the sports ministry.

France captain Wendie Renard will sit out 2023 World Cup along with two other French stars

France captain Wendie Renard said on Friday that she will not play at this year's Women's World Cup to preserve her mental health, with fellow internationals Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Kadidiatou Diani following suit.

Renard, who is widely considered to be one of the best defenders in women's football, played for France in international games against Norway, Denmark and Uruguay earlier this month.

She has 142 caps for France and plays for French side Olympique Lyonnais.
