On Tuesday the NWSL announced the transfer of Kim Little from the Seattle Reign to Arsenal Ladies. To the average American soccer fan or casual fan of the US Women’s National Team, that won’t seem like an important move. However, if you’ve followed the NWSL or the women’s game globally, you will know that the league just lost a massive talent.

Bob Bradley was appointed as the new coach for Swansea City on October 3rd, becoming the first American to manage in the Premier League.
Swansea are currently struggling at the bottom of the table with one win, one draw and six losses in their first eight games. They are in 19th position and decided to let Italian manager Francesco Guidolin go after only 25 matches in charge.
Miami FC’s Jaime Chavez earned Friday’s ESPN SportsCenter top play after sweetly connecting with a volley from 16 yards out. With the scores level at 0-0 in the 16th minute, Chavez timed his ridiculous strike perfectly off of a Blake Smith cross-field pass.
Chavez is a 29-year-old native of California who has spent most of his career in the NASL with the Atlanta Silverbacks and Miami.
Montreal Impact manager Mauro Biello has revealed that Didier Drogba refused to take part in Montreal’s playoff-deciding match against rivals Toronto FC on Sunday after being left out of the starting eleven.
The 2016 NWSL season wrapped up Sunday in Houston as the Western New York Flash defeated the Washington Spirit on penalties. It was an electric match which saw the Flash level the score at 2-2 deep into extra time of the second overtime period. First Major TV Deal
After an impressive career with the German national team and Bayern Munich, Bastian Schweinsteiger has hit a roadblock in Manchester. Following the 2014 World Cup victory in Brazil, he made the move to United and had a limited, but not altogether horrible season.
Even playing under former boss Louis Van Gaal didn’t see Bastian get a lot of playing time or confidence after finally arriving in England. A recent youth soccer study published in the Journal of Pediatrics indicated that between 1990 and 2014, soccer-related emergency room visits have increased by 111%. Of those, more than 7% were concussions and 23% fractures.
