Ranking The 10 Best Goalkeepers In Soccer Right Now

Goalkeeper is a frequently criticized but rarely praised position. Everyone wants to see acrobatic, top-corner dives and flashy one-on-one saves, when in truth those moments are just a fraction of what actually defines a goalkeeper. The modern goalkeeper must be able to play with their feet, organize their backline and play sweeper, while also executing their traditional shot-stopping duties.

Therefore, it is crucial to utilize all of these categories when ranking goalkeepers in order to paint a complete picture of a goalkeeper's abilities.

Led By An Electric Attack, Atalanta Pushes For Its Highest Serie A Finish Ever

Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, known by fans simply as Atalanta, derived its name from the Greek myth of a virgin huntress who refused to marry a man who could not outrun her in a footrace. Much like the club's namesake, Atalanta has been running away from much of its competition in Serie A this season.

La Dea (the goddess) finished third in Serie A last year, its best ever position, and qualified for the Champions League for the first time ever. The team also led Serie A with 77 goals scored.

Quique Setién Will Reportedly Be Fired At End Of Season As Xavi’s Era Approaches

Barcelona coach Quique Setién has said he does not always see eye-to-eye with his squad as their LaLiga title bid threatens to unravel following Saturday's 2-2 draw at Celta Vigo.

Second-placed Barça trail Real Madrid by two points with six games to go and face a grueling match at home to third-placed Atlético Madrid on Tuesday which they need to win to stay in close contention in the title race.

"It's true that you often have arguments with players as you do in everyday life and that's nothing new," Setién told a virtual news conference on Monday.
