Barcelona’s Moussa Wagué Given Four-Match Ban After Hitting Fan For Alleged Racist Abuse

During Sunday’s Segunda División B match between the Barcelona B squad and SD Ejea, 20-year-old Barca right back Moussa Wagué was sent off for clashing with an Ejea supporter while attempting to take a throw-in.

The match was played at the tight confines of Ejea’s 2,900-capacity Nuevo Estadio Municipal, and after Wagué went to collect the ball for a throw, a supporter tossed it away from him, resulting in the physical altercation.

8 Yellows, 1 Red, 18 Starts: The Maddest Lad Of Them All 2018-19

It was around this time last year that we introduced Bruno Zuculini to you, our weary audience, as the maddest lad of them all. The Argentine spent the first half of the 2017-18 season at Hellas Verona, collecting three red cards and four yellows in just 15 starts. He was promptly sold to River Plate before he could build on his phenomenal record over the following months.

Ricardo Quaresma’s One-Man High Press Goes Horribly, Horribly Wrong

If I were to tell you that I’ve got a new highlight from Ricardo Quaresma to share, your first guess, of course, should be a ridiculous trivela from outside the area. That’s not what this footage concerns, but here’s that trivela goal against Iran that sent Portugal to the Round of 16 last summer.

Because He’s A Nice Guy, Thomas Müller Will Forever Be Apologizing For Flying Kick To Face

Thomas Müller was all apologies Wednesday and Thursday.

He started apologizing before Nicolás Tagliafico hit the ground. He kept apologizing as he was shown red. He tried to apologize in person after the match. And he kept apologizing the next day.

Müller’s red card against Ajax on Wednesday was one of the worst you’ll see in the Champions League — a flying kick to the head. But Müller responded exactly how you’d hope a professional footballer would after such a vicious attack.

DeAndre Yedlin’s Silly Red Card Compounded By Wolves Stoppage Time Winner

Newcastle United wingback DeAndre Yedlin was sent off for the first time in his 73-match Premier League career on Sunday during Newcastle’s crushing 2-1 defeat to Wolves. With the score level at 1-1 in the 57th minute, a terrible touch from the USMNT defender allowed Wolves’ Diogo Jota to charge through on goal, and Yedlin’s tactical foul outside the box resulted in a straight red card as the last defender.

Ref Saves Player From Being Torn Limb From Limb After Horror Tackle On Keeper

Rangers climbed to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 2-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle Stadium on Sunday, but the march to three points for Steven Gerrard’s men was greatly complicated by the straight red issued to Canadian international Scott Arfield in the 72nd minute.

Some great goalkeeping from Hearts' Zdeněk Zlámal resulted in two saves in a matter of seconds, including the second one on the goal-line. However, with the ball secured safely at the goalmouth, Arfield came crashing in with a horrendously late sliding challenge on the ball and Zlámal’s face.

95th-Minute Winner Sends River Plate To Libertadores Final And Leads To Absolute Scenes

After losing the home leg of its Copa Libertadores semifinal against Grêmio 1-0 in Buenos Aires, River Plate pulled off a shocking 2-1 reverse scoreline in Porto Alegre on Tuesday night to advance to the final of South America’s premier club competition on away goals. For River Plate, the late dramatics were pure delirium; for Grêmio, it was the cruelest of defeats.

Everything started brilliantly for the Brazilian club. In the 36th minute, Léo Gomes gave his side a 2-0 aggregate lead with a nicely taken half-volley from outside the 18. Arena do Grêmio lost it.
