Tim Cahill, Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell have combined for 193 appearances for Australia and 76 goals (Cahill, 37, is still going). All three played a vital role in securing Australia’s 2006 World Cup appearance, their first since 1974, with a dramatic playoff victory over Uruguay. 

Ryan Mason’s club, Hull City, have confirmed that the midfielder is in stable condition and has been speaking at the hospital after fracturing his skull against Chelsea on Sunday.

Mason underwent surgery after a gruesome clash of heads with Chelsea’s Gary Cahill. Cahill was deemed fit to continue for Chelsea, but Mason was stretchered off while receiving oxygen to a standing ovation from Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge supporters.

Sunday’s Premier League encounter between Arsenal and Burnley at the Emirates featured damn near everything. With Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City and Manchester United all failing to win on Saturday, it was up to the Gunners to keep the pressure on league leaders Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp was a happy boy after Liverpool beat Plymouth Argyle 1-0 in Wednesday's FA Cup replay. He was even happier after he got a giant pastry during his post-match press conference, even though his diet forbid him from eating it.

Look at the size of that thing! Even if Jurgen Klopp did eat carbs, he wouldn't be able to finish that thing by himself.

Surely some of the players will be happy to take it off his hands.

Life has not been easy for French defender Mamadou Sakho over the last nine months. Ever since the failed drug test debacle that kept him on the sidelines for over a month last season, the defender has failed to earn his place back in Jurgen Klopp’s team. 

Klopp, who had nothing but praise for the 26-year-old center back when he first took over as Liverpool manager, has since gone as far as demoting Sakho to training with the U-23 squad. 

Criminally underrated throughout his career, due in large part to having to play behind two of the greatest ever in Xavi and Andres Iniesta for Spain, Santi Cazorla's recognition has only grown in the last two seasons, primarily because of his devastating absence. While many fans were not aware of him when he moved to Arsenal from Malaga in 2012, he has always been a favorite among players and coaches in his native country.
