Don’t Let The Name Fool You: NWSL Adds Yet Another Man To Coaching Ranks

USWNT Star Sam Mewis Joins Manchester City

Manchester City has signed United States' World Cup-winning midfielder Sam Mewis from National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) side North Carolina Courage, the English club said on Monday.

The 27-year-old, who helped the U.S. national team capture the World Cup in France last year, is Women's Super League (WSL) side City's second signing of the transfer window following the arrival of Chloe Kelly from Everton.

This Is How Soccer Binds Us All

Now more than ever people are feeling isolated and alone. Covid — no matter how much of a denier you are — is STILL raging on and separating people. Staring at Zoom screens and text messages every day takes away the warmth of human contact. It gets lonely.

That is how 81-year-old Bill Bullock felt. His story is heart wrenching.

Nike’s Most Adaptive Boot Yet: The Phantom GT FlyEase

Carson Pickett is exactly what fans expect out of a women’s soccer player in the NWSL. Whether she is putting in work on the field or putting in work to advocate for limb difference awareness, Pickett is a great role model.

The Most Creative Team Names In American Soccer

Let's face it, most American soccer team names are rather boring, especially in Major League Soccer. The prospect of watching Montreal Impact play New York City FC doesn't exactly have me racing to the TV to turn on whatever channel carries MLS these days. And don't even get me started about the logos (bring back 90's MLS logos, please).

Despite an overwhelming number of ill-conceived corporate logos, the lower levels of American soccer do provide some great teams names

MLSPA Writes Opposition To Major Aspect Of Sen. Mitch McConnell’s Stimulus Legislation

Major League Soccer, following the lead of the NWSL, has had a mostly successful return from the novel coronavirus pandemic. Playing matches in a bubble in Orlando, Florida, MLS has helped show it is possible to resume sports, so long as a long list of necessary precautions are taken.

Perhaps then it’s no surprise the players association of MLS — and those from four other major sports leagues — has taken issue with a key aspect of Sen. Mitch McConnell’s latest stimulus legislation proposal.

Fans Bring Houston Dash Players Beer During Socially Distanced Victory Parade

It’s been a week to remember for the Houston Dash. On Sunday, they defeated Chicago 2-0 to claim the club’s first-ever trophy. They then filled said trophy with beer and probably haven’t stopped drinking since.

Washington Spirit's Ashley Sanchez Named NWSL Future Legend

I know we are all lost without NWSL games, but women's football is slowly making its return. The NWSL Challenge Cup exceeded expectations by not only breaking records on viewership, but they were the first American professional sports league to make its return and also successfully remained safe from Covid-19. With more than 2,000 tests taken over the course of a month of games, practices and bubble living, not one player or staff member tested postiive.
