El Tráfico Showcases Improving LAFC, Godawful LA Galaxy

El Tráfico took center stage on Sunday afternoon as Los Angeles FC hosted the LA Galaxy at an empty Banc of California Stadium but with thousands watching the action unfold on national television.

LA Galaxy Reportedly Planning To Replace Schelotto With Robbie Keane

After a dreadful start to their season, the Los Angeles Galaxy will make a change at head coach, according to multiple reports in Ireland.

Former Galaxy standout and Ireland international Robbie Keane will replace Guillermo Barros Schelotto.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Galaxy did not refute the reports outright, instead characterizing them as a "rumor."

The Galaxy are in the midst of a six-game losing streak, the most recent coming in a 4-0 thrashing at home by the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday. They are also winless in their last seven games.

LA Galaxy II parted ways with defender Omar Ontiveros on Saturday, three days after he was found to have used a racial slur during a USL Championship game against the San Diego Loyal, which is coached by former USMNT star Landon Donovan.

The league on Friday suspended the 25-year-old Ontiveros for six games, tacked on to his one-game ban for the red card he received in the 1-1 draw on Wednesday night.

The LA Galaxy Are Back And Better Without Zlatan Ibrahimović

After beginning the season 0-2-3, the Los Angeles Galaxy have turned it on and scorched everyone in their path with four consecutive victories, the latest victim being LAFC.

Two weeks after the Galaxy blanked LAFC 2-0 for the first cleansheet effort for either side in El Tráfico history, goalkeeper David Bingham registered another shutout on Sunday, his second of the season.

After a scoreless first half, Galaxy forward Cristian Pavón chipped an easy one over LAFC keeper Pablo Sisniega, who got stuck over-extending himself in the 51st minute.

Ethan Zubak and Sebastian Lletget each scored a goal as the Los Angeles Galaxy earned their first victory of season with a 2-0 decision at Los Angeles FC on Saturday, while adding another intriguing chapter to the "El Trafico" rivalry.

Despite LAFC emerging as one of the best teams in MLS over the last three seasons, the Galaxy (1-3-2, five points) have defeated their cross-town rival three times. LAFC has one regular-season victory in the matchup, a 6-2 thrashing in group play of this year's MLS is Back Tournament.

Balotelli Did Nothing Wrong During Infamous Back-Heel Vs. LA Galaxy

ESPN FC’s Twitter account has stirred up the pot and brought back a hilariously iconic moment in football. Nine years ago, in a friendly match between the LA Galaxy and Manchester City, Mario Balotelli committed what some would call a “heinous” and “disrespectful” act when his back-heel shot missed terribly. The Balotelli back-heel vs. LA Galaxy deserves to have the record set straight.

The man is innocent.

For starters let’s re-watch the glorious moment of pure skill and genius from the Italian.
