Hany Mukhtar recorded the fastest hat trick in MLS history and Nashville SC extended their home unbeaten streak to 11 games with a 5-1 victory over the visiting Chicago Fire on Saturday night.

Mukhtar tallied all three goals in the first 16 minutes.

Mukhtar, who entered with a team-leading four goals, took advantage of breakdowns on Chicago's back end to open the scoring in the 10th minute, and he came through again three minutes later.

FC Dallas announced the transfer of midfielder Tanner Tessmann to Serie A side Venezia FC on Thursday.

The 19-year-old signed a homegrown deal with Dallas ahead of the 2020 MLS campaign and has appeared in 26 games (15 starts), including seven games (six starts) this season. He has taken 20 shots and tallied one assist.

Gyasi Zardes scored twice to send Historic Crew Stadium out in style when host Columbus defeated the Chicago Fire 2-0 on Saturday.

The Crew (4-2-2, 14 points) has won three straight, none more meaningful and emotional than the final game at the first soccer-specific stadium in MLS. Their $314 million Lower.com Field will be christened July 3 against the New England Revolution.

BUDAPEST — France striker Antoine Griezmann says he would like to see out his playing days in Major League Soccer to realize a long-held desire to live in the United States.

Griezmann, who is set to make his 50th consecutive start for France in Saturday's Euro 2020 game against Hungary, has long been fascinated with life stateside and is a keen basketball fan, often travelling to NBA games when he has time off.
