Wild Christian Pulisic Appears And Delivers Second Assist Of Chelsea Career

After three straight matches as an unused substitute, Christian Pulisic made his first Premier League appearance since Aug. 31 when coming on in the 80th minute of Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Southampton on Sunday.

The bad news for Pulisic is that the players above him in the pecking order all played well: Mason Mount scored a goal; Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian picked up assists. The good news for Pulisic is that he made the most of his 10 minutes on the pitch.

Before His Final Match, DaMarcus Beasley Relives His Career Through Famous Photos

The heartbreaking DaMarcus Beasley retirement is days away. The legendary American footballer, the only USMNT player to appear in four World Cups, will hang up his boots after the Houston Dynamo host the LA Galaxy on Sunday afternoon.

Beasley announced his plans to retire days before his 37th birthday in May, but it’s still hard to believe the iconic player will call an end to his 20-year career this week.

Should We Be Worried About Pulisic’s Career Or Do We Live In Insufferable Times?

The European transfer window has been closed for 31 days now, which is just enough time for layman to speak in absolutes. Of course we’re primarily talking about 21-year-old American Christian Pulisic, who had a solid game and an assist versus Norwich back on Aug. 24 before his career was ended by not making the 18 against Lille yesterday.

It doesn’t matter that wide attacking players like…

Looks Like USMNT Could Miss Out On Another Rising Star

Sergiño Dest, an 18-year-old Ajax fullback, is one of the brightest young players in the USMNT pool. But he might not be in the pool for long.

Dest has opted not to join Gregg Berhalter’s team for upcoming Concacaf Nations League matches, which would cap-tie the Dutch-American to the USMNT.

Tim Howard Sends Semi-Heartfelt Farewell Message To Colorado Rapids

Earlier this year, Tim Howard announced his plans to retire from professional soccer at the end of this season. While he hasn't played since the end of August, Howard went to Twitter to say thank you to the Colorado Rapids fans for three-and-a-half seasons with the club before the final regular-season home game of the season.

Chicharito Opens Sevilla Account With Stunning Goal

Javier Hernandez has opened his account with new club Sevilla. Back with a LaLiga club for the first time since his loan spell with Real Madrid, the first Chicharito Sevilla goal was stunning to all involved.

Héctor Herrera’s Stunning Late Equalizer Spoils Cuadrado’s Elegant Golazo

A lot of the pregame hype for Juventus vs. Atlético Madrid surrounded the matchup between Portugal’s past-and-current king, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Portugal’s future king, João Félix.

But the match was decided by the matchup between Mexico’s Héctor Herrera and former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey, two second-half substitutes.

Jesse Marsch Becomes First Coach From U.S. To Win Champions League Match

You may have missed it with all the games on, but RB Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch made history on Tuesday. After an emphatic 6-2 victory over Belgian side KRC Genk, Marsch became the first coach from the United States to not only coach a Champions League match, but to win one.

Our Collective Obsession With Christian Pulisic Means He Probably Had A Great 21st Birthday

When you’re young, birthdays are great. They mark new transitions into adulthood — at 16 you can drive, at 18 you can vote and at 21 you can drink.

As you get older, birthdays become less notable, more of an excuse to eat an extra dessert than a reason to celebrate. Fewer people bother to send you birthday well-wishes other than those semi-friends who post on Facebook as if they actually knew when your birthday was without being told by Mark Zuckerberg.

Norwich City Should Be The Ultimate Inspiration For A Side Like The USMNT

It’s been an eventful week for building from the back. It began with Mexico’s beatdown of Gregg Berhalter’s longterm vision for the USMNT in East Rutherford, a result which led to a cry for abandoning the philosophy.

Things reached a crescendo yesterday with Arsenal — the masterful architects of their own downfall in recent times. Sokratis Papastathopoulos showed exactly why 2-0 is the most dangerous lead in football by passing the ball straight to Gerard Deulofeu in his own area.
