Guardiola Demands 5 Substitutions To Avoid “Killing The Players”

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola criticized the lack of rest this season and said that UEFA and FIFA are "killing the players."

"It's too much. They are human beings, not machines. I know some of them are sad because they always want to play every game, but that's not possible," said Guardiola, who made six changes to his side in Saturday's win over Leicester City.

"To be good in all competitions this year without spectators, in the shortest season in history, if you don't rotate your players you can't compete and you couldn't be in the position we're in," he added.

8,000 Supporters Allowed Into Wembley For City Vs. Spurs League Cup Final

This month's League Cup final between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur will be allowed to host 8,000 spectators as part of pilot events to pave the way for the return of large crowds to stadiums, the British government said on Sunday.

The final will be held at London's Wembley Stadium on April 25. It was due to be played on Feb. 28 but was pushed back in the hope that a later date would allow fans to attend.

Women’s Super League Reaches Landmark Broadcast Deal With BBC And Sky Sports

The BBC and Sky Sports said they have agreed a three-year, multi-million pounds deal to broadcast Women's Super League matches from the 2021-22 season.

The BBC will broadcast 22 live games, with a minimum of 18 shown on BBC One or BBC Two. Sky Sports will show up to 44 matches, with a minimum of 35 shown on Sky Sports Football, Premier League and Main Event channels.

The remaining matches not selected for broadcast will be shown live on the FA Player. The agreement with both broadcasters would run until the summer of 2024, BBC said.
