After a big summer window in Major League Soccer that saw the arrivals of household names like Lorenzo Insigne, Gareth Bale and Héctor Herrera, an updated list of the MLS highest paid players 2022 has been released by the Players Association.

Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain will retire at the end of the season, the 34-year-old said on Monday, bringing the curtain down on a trophy-laden career that lasted almost 18 years.
Higuain started his career with River Plate but made a name for himself at Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus before moving to Major League Soccer club Inter Miami in 2020, scoring over 300 goals in his club career and 31 times for Argentina.
The business end of the MLS season is upon us, and with the MLS playoffs kicking off in just under a month, every game matters. The MLS All-Star roster 2022 for a matchup with the Liga MX All-Stars on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Allianz Field in St. Paul has been unveiled. 26 players have been selected for the event with fans picking 12, MLS All-Star manager Adrian Heath (Minnesota United) selecting 12 and commissioner Don Garber adding the final two.
