Duván Zapata scored the first goal for Atalanta in a 2-2 draw with league-leading Juventus on Saturday. Moments later he added injury to insult in quite possibly the worst way imaginable with the Zapata stomp on Matthijs de Ligt.

Zapata, a 29-year-old Colombian striker, gave Atalanta the lead when he brushed past Rodrigo Betancur to reach a pass from Papu Gómez, firing a low shot past Wojciech Szczesny in goal.

Jordan Henderson Out Injured For Rest Of Season, Will Still Lift Premier League Trophy

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been ruled out of the rest of the Premier League champions' campaign after the midfielder sustained a knee injury in their midweek win at Brighton & Hove Albion, manager Jürgen Klopp said on Friday.

Klopp was forced to withdraw Henderson 10 minutes from fulltime in the 3-1 win after a collision with Yves Bissouma but the German said the 30-year-old does not require surgery.

Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi woke up Wednesday morning with two holes in his face after receiving a Jamie Vardy boot to the side of his head during Tuesday’s match. The match between Arsenal and Leicester City ended 1-1 after Vardy scored the Foxes’ equalizer in the final moments of the match. Teenage Goalkeeper To Recover After Video Shows Him Being Struck By Lightning

A 16-year-old goalkeeper in Russia’s third tier is lucky to be alive after being struck by lightning during a training session on July 4. 

Ivan Zakborovsky can be seen in a video preparing to take a shot on goal while his teammates trained on the near touchline. Right before taking the shot a bolt of lightning struck Zakborovsky. His team, Znamya Truda, tweeted a video of the incident and an update on his condition.

Sunday Not So Funday: Franck Ribéry Suffers Injury Before Returning To Burglarized Home

Former France international Franck Ribéry was not only injured playing for Fiorentina on Sunday but returned home to find he had been robbed too, the player said on social media on Monday.

Ribéry limped off with a foot injury after a second half collision in the 2-1 victory at Parma as his Italian club ended a five-match winless run. But celebrations were short lived as on his return to his home in Tuscany the same night he discovered he had been burgled.

The 37-year-old posted a video of ransacked rooms on social media.

Colorado Rapids Delay Trip To Orlando After Positive Coronavirus Tests

The Colorado Rapids delayed their trip to Florida on Sunday after the club was notified of a pair of presumptive positive tests for the coronavirus.

The Rapids announced that they tentatively plan to fly on Tuesday, pending lab results as well as consultation with Major League Soccer's chief medical officer and club medical staff.

The National Women's Soccer League's restart plan took a major hit Monday when the Orlando Pride withdrew from the NWSL Challenge Cup after six players and four staff members tested positive for the coronavirus.

The Challenge Cup, scheduled to start Saturday in Utah, is due to make the NWSL the first U.S. pro team-sports league back in action amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Pride wrote in a statement that all of the players and staffers who were found to have the virus were asymptomatic.
