LONDON — Two Tottenham Hotspur fans who travelled 34 hours from Texas to watch them play Burnley on Sunday only for snow to postpone the game have been invited to a home game as Harry Kane's guests.

Spurs striker Kane responded after reading of Dallas couple Ken and Brandi Saxton's misfortune on Twitter.

The Premier League game at Burnley was postponed shortly before kickoff after heavy snowfall at Turf Moor.

LISBON - Benfica's Primeira Liga match at Belenenses on Saturday was abandoned amid extraordinary scenes after their COVID-19-hit opponents were forced to name a team of nine players — including two goalkeepers.

I Attended The First MLS Game On Thanksgiving; We Need To Make It An Annual Tradition

On Thursday, the Colorado Rapids hosted the Portland Timbers in a Western Conference semifinal at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. It was the first-ever MLS Thanksgiving game — I really hope it’s not the last.

In the U.S., Thanksgiving is a time for American football. It’s the Lions and Cowboys; it’s a college football game or two. But let’s be honest, the Lions suck, everyone hates the Cowboys and college football has been garbage on Thanksgiving since Texas refused to continue its rivalry with Texas A&M.

Paramount+ Crashes During Biggest Match Of Champions League This Season

Paramount+ continues to struggle to do its one job of showing the Champions League. During the highly anticipated clash between Manchester City and PSG on Wednesday, the streaming service completely crashed, preventing all viewers from watching what is probably the only thing for which they subscribe to Paramount+.

This is hardly the first time Paramount+ has gone down during Champions League matches, though this appears to be the most widespread outage.

Chicago Red Stars Coach Suspiciously Resigned At Midnight; You Can Guess What Happened Next

Back when allegations first arose against former NWSL coach Paul Riley’s sexual coercion and verbal abuse, I made a timeline of all the women’s soccer coaches and staff in America who had been fired, resigned or were otherwise accused of some sort of abuse. Even then I said there were probably more cases out there that hadn’t been reported upon yet. Sadly, it looks like I was right.

Bayern Munich Reduces Salaries Of Unvaccinated Players

Bayern Munich suffered a surprising 2-1 defeat to Augsburg on Friday, in part a result of the team’s lethargic performance but also because a growing number of players have been forced to quarantine under Covid-19 regulations. Now it seems unvaccinated Bayern players will be losing more than playing time.

How Angel City FC Is Traveling To NWSL Championship Game In Style

From the first day it was officially announced Los Angeles would be getting an NWSL expansion team, Angel City FC has done things differently. From the star-studded cast of owners and investors to the commitment to community, Angel City has already made more headlines before playing a single match than some NWSL clubs that have been around for years.

Canadian Streaker Survives Freezing Temperatures But Not The Security Guard Trucking Him Into The Board

Canada tested out its home-field advantage in Edmonton on Friday and it worked wonders. Over 48,000 fans packed into Commonwealth Stadium to watch Canada defeat Costa Rica 1-0. They also got a bonus show of a Canada streaker getting hit sticked into the advertisement board.

Crystal Dunn Wasn’t In The Latest USWNT Squad. Now We Know Why

Crystal Dunn was not included in the USWNT roster announced this week for the upcoming friendlies against Australia. On Thursday, it became clear why.

Dunn, one of the most versatile footballers in the world, is adding a new position to her repertoire. In addition to playing fullback, midfielder and forward for her club and national team — and a chicken and cat mom off the pitch — she’ll soon become a human mom.

This Was The Premier League’s Weak Excuse For Not Allowing Home Clubs To Wear Away Kits For Charity

The Premier League has refused a request from clubs to wear their away kits at home matches on Boxing Day in support of homeless charity Shelter, British media reported.

Shelter tweeted on Tuesday it is launching the '#NoHomeKit' campaign, which urges clubs and fans to "ditch their home colours for their away or third kit, showing support for people who don't have a safe home."
