Goalkeeper Strides Forward In The 94th Minute And Makes Magic

A German second division match was the sight of one of football’s great rarities today — the goalkeeper goal. With visitors Heidenheim leading 1-0 in the 94th minute against Union Berlin, Berlin goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz strove forward for a free kick just inside Heidenheim’s half.

After being played into the box, a neat little cutback eventually found its way to Gikiewicz, who towered over his marker and planted the equalizing header just inside the far post.

It should come as no surprise, but this was the first goal of Cikiewicz’s senior career.

Arsenal Scores A Ludicrous Team Goal Finished By Way Of Scandalous Back Heel

Only a few days back, we published a list of 12 of the greatest team goals ever scored. Well, we’re probably gonna have to expand that list to 13 following what Aaron Ramsey and Arsenal did to Fulham today.

Mexico Internationals Lozano, Gutiérrez Continue To Tear Eredivisie To Pieces

Right now, it doesn’t even seem fair.

PSV Eindhoven is absolutely eviscerating the Dutch Eredivisie this season and a pair of Mexico internationals is a major reason why, combining for three goals in a 4-0 win over VVV Venlo on Saturday.

The Boeren are pulling away atop the Eredivisie table with eight wins from eight. More impressively, they’ve done it while scoring 30 goals (3.75 per game) and conceding three.

Nearly a third of PSV’s goals this season has come from two players from one country: Mexico’s Chucky Lozano and Érick Gutiérrez.

Amidst Massive Scrutiny, Ronaldo Repays Juve Faith With Smashing Goal

Cristiano Ronaldo is no stranger to the spotlight. In fact, he often seeks it out, what with his provocative underwear line, manicured appearance and supermodel girlfriends

But this past week the spotlight has been a bit brighter, a bit hotter, a bit more uncomfortable.

The Insane Stats Behind Dortmund's Paco Alcácer, Bundesliga's Leading Scorer After A Wild 4-3 Win

Paco Alcacer has had a pretty decent career for himself by the age of 25. He’s won a LaLiga title with Barcelona and scored more than 60 goals in Spain while earning a handful of call-ups to the Spanish national team.

But since joining Borussia Dortmund on loan this fall, Alcacer has caught fire.

Paco Alcacer stats after Saturday’s crazy 4-3 win over Augsburg are absolutely insane — and the quality of some of his goals are equally ridiculous.

Weston McKennie Scores Second Straight Match Winner For Schalke; Bobby Wood Nods In Two

Weston McKennie went more than 30 appearances without scoring a goal for Schalke. Now the 20-year-old American midfielder has two goals in as many games.

McKennie scored a dramatic late match winner against Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday in Russia. It wasn’t quite the impact he was hoping to make in Russia in 2018, but it was a great moment for the Texan to score his first goal for the club he joined in 2016.

Soccer Technique: The Hidden Speed Of The Game

Pep Guardiola frequently says he considers himself  “a great thief” as everything that he does he’s seen it somewhere and took it for himself and his teams. Well Pep, if that’s the case bud, keep going because it’s working pretty darn good.

12 Of The Best Team Goals Ever

As Jean-Paul Satre once said, “In football everything is complicated by the presence of the opposite team.” Breaking down an opponent has puzzled the world’s brightest minds since the beginning of time, but this process has eventually yielded a collection of the best team goals ever.

Some of these goals are the finest examples of a style purveyed by a team throughout an era (Arsenal under Arsene Wenger, Spain’s golden generation, mid 90s Ajax, etc.), while some are simply instances of 11 footballers momentarily achieving authentic telepathic clairvoyance.
