The Best Of Enemies: Manchester United And Real Madrid Transfer History (Part 2)

Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid was without a doubt one of the greatest and most drawn-out transfer sagas in football history, and it all began shortly after Manchester United rise to the top of the world as newly crowned 2008 European Champions.

Chelsea Wins Women's FA Cup In Front Of Record Crowd

In front of a record 30,710 fans, Chelsea defeated Notts County 1-0 in the women's FA Cup final.

South Korean international Ji So-Yun got the game's only goal in the first half.

Given the crowd was a record for a women's FA Cup final, women's soccer seems to be enjoying an extended rise in popularity in England following the national team's extended run in the World Cup. Attendance records have also been set for women's soccer in the U.S this year.

This was the first women's FA Cup final to be held at Wembley Stadium.

Highlights:

Cristiano Ronaldo Does Not Care What FIFA Is Doing

We'll give Cristiano Ronaldo this: he's very opinionated about not being opinionated.

In a recent interview, Ronaldo was asked what he thought about the whole FIFA business.

"I don't care about FIFA, Qatar, I don't give a f***," Ronaldo said before getting up and walking out of the interview. It is here that we're contractually obligated to use the word "petulant" in regards to Cristiano.

He's not required to care about any of the FIFA business, but come on, man.

De Bruyne Defuses Transfer Speculation, Has No Point To Prove

It’s a great time to be VfL Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne, shocking misses aside. He has just won the German Supercup for the second year running, beating Bayern Munich both times, no less. He is arguably the most sought after attacking midfielder in the world, and his play each and every week seems to only increase interest in him. He is the top dog in a very good team, and it seems that he is also aware and responsible for his actions, or at least that is what his latest words imply.

Was The French Super Cup Zlatan's Last Game At PSG?

It was all sunshine and rainbows for PSG on the field Saturday. The reigning French champions defeated Lyon 2-0 behind goals from Serge Aurier and Edinson Cavani. Aurier in particular was a revelation at left-back.

Off the field, though, was a diferent matter for the club, who look like they might lose star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"It could be that this was my last game for PSG," Zlatan said after the game.

Jose Mourinho Is Beefing With Rafa Benitez's Wife

In one of the more hilarious beefs in recent memory, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has engaged in a little verbal spat with Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez's wife.

What happened was Benitez's wife gave a rare interview in which she joked that because Benitez seems to manage teams soon after Mourinho manages them, she and Benitez "clean up his messes."

America Is About To Get A Whole Lot More Of The Bundesliga

FOX Sports just got a whole lot more German.

The Bundesliga and FOX Sports have agreed to a deal in which FOX will either televise or stream every single Bundesliga game this upcoming season. Of the 306 Bundesliga games, 58 will be shown on FOX SPorts 1, 60 on FOX Sports 2, and the rest streamed on FOX Soccer Plus.

This Coach Says He Was Fired For Not Playing His Team's Owner Against Barcelona

Anatoly Korobochka might have the funniest horrible boss story ever.

Korobochka was brought in to do front office stuff Hearts in the Scottish Premier League by owner Vladimir Romanov in 2006. In 2007, in the absence of a real manager, Korobochka was given the job even though he couldn't really speak English.

That summer, Hearts played a friendly against Barcelona.

Zlatan Is Good At Basketball

PSG players, we are almost positive, are very athletic human beings. Soccer is a very demanding game that requires strength, agility and stamina, plus coordination and intelligence. They are good at soccer, as evidenced by the fact that they play for one of the best clubs in the world. They have dedicated their lives (so far) to soccer. And they should stick to it, because they are clearly not ready for other sports.

Child Tells Suarez He's The Best, Suarez Says No, Messi Is.

Luis Suarez knows where his bread is buttered.

He was signing autographs when a young boy came up and said he was the best. Suarez, fully aware that the player who is actually the best wasn't traveling with Barcelona for that particular trip, felt the need to correct the lad.

Suarez is good, for sure, but Messi is the best.
