United struggled for long portions of the match at the Wanda Metropolitano; Cristiano Ronaldo often had to drop deep into his own half just to get a touch of the ball. After an early goal from João Félix, it looked like a classic Diego Simeone victory over a British side.

The Weston McKennie injury is a broken foot, according to reports, putting into doubt his ability to participate in vital World Cup qualifiers for the USMNT next month.

Romanian side FCSB, formerly known as Steaua Bucharest, will not drop players who have received the Covid-19 vaccine after their owner Gigi Becali suggested they would no longer be selected, the club said on Wednesday.

Becali, the flamboyant owner of the club, told Romanian TV channel Pro X that vaccinated players would not be allowed to play as they are weaker. However, the club said that would not be the case, adding that Becali was only joking.

Christian Pulisic and Chelsea earned a 2-0 victory vs. Lille on Tuesday in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 clash. Pulisic put on a show for the London club with his best performance of the season by far.

The USMNT star was given the start in his favored left wing position and made the most of it. It could be my American bias, but I got tingles every time he was on the ball. Pulisic’s darting runs and movement on the ball continuously left Lille players on the ground in his wake.

Juventus is an odd club at the moment. The Old Lady, owner of a record 36 Scudettos, isn’t the same side that won nine straight Serie A crowns from 2011-2020. Talent is there, but not everywhere. 

Boris Johnson Says Russia Can't Be Allowed To Host Champions League Final

LONDON — Russia should not be allowed to host soccer events such as the Champions League final after Russian President Vladimir Putin recognised two breakaway regions in eastern Ukraine, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Tuesday.

Britain said that it would discuss the location of the Champions League final, which is scheduled to take place in St Petersburg in May, with the relevant governing bodies.
