It's time for another international tournament in the form of the European Championships, and while Euro 2016 songs are sparse, they're not nonexistent. 

Mexico international Hector Herrera could be on his way to Napoli, if reports from Calciomercato are to be believed. The midfielder, who currently plays for Porto in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Vesuviani and the deal currently hinges on whether the two clubs can reach an agreement on price. 

The Copa America Centenario is approaching fast, and for Lionel Messi and Argentina, the tournament is a chance at redemption. Having lost in the final of the World Cup in 2014 and the final of the Copa America last year, criticism is starting to grow due to Messi's underachievement. 

Argentina will play in the Copa America Centenario despite earlier claims that a government investigation could cause the AFA to pull out of the competition. In a press conference on Tuesday following an emergency meeting of the AFA executive board, president Luis Segura said there was no possibility of Argentina being forced to miss the tournament.

Alan Pulido has been found safe by Mexican authorities, Reuters reported.

Armando Pulido, the brother of Mexico and Olympiakos striker Alan Pulido, confirmed to Mediotempo that his brother was kidnapped in the city of Victoria in Tamaulipas, Mexico on Saturday. 

The U-23 Mexico youth national team endured a disappointing campaign in the Toulon World Youth Festival as they slumped to a fourth-placed finish behind Mali, Czech Republic and group winners, France. They managed a solitary win against bottom of the table Bulgaria, but their overall performance does not inspire hope for the upcoming Olympics in Rio this summer. 

Frankfurt captain Marco Russ has had a difficult week. On Wednesday, a routine doping test found an elevated level of the growth hormone HCG in his system, and the doctors found a tumor to be the root cause of the problem.

There was a lot of excitement when Marco Fabian made his move to Eintracht Frankfurt last summer. It was hoped that he could follow in the footsteps of his childhood friend and fellow Chivas youth graduate Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, who has been setting the Bundesliga on fire this season for Bayer Leverkusen. 

Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis has been fined £22,058 for betting on football matches. The veteran centerback placed 29 bets on matches between January 22 and February 15, 2016.

Earlier this year, the Bundesliga announced that the league had recorded its second-highest Bundesliga attendance ever. A total of 6,478,680 fans attended 153 matches over the first half of the season with an average of 42,344 per game. By contrast, the Premier League averaged 36,452 over the entirety of the season.
