There was, admittedly, very little footballing action on Wednesday. Qatar shocked Switzerland 1-0 in an international friendly and the U-17 Women’s World Cup continued in Uruguay (the U.S. beat nine-woman Cameroon 3-0), but that was about it.
Oh, and there were a couple of matches in Ascenso MX, Mexico’s second division — namely one involving Diego Cam.
Unless Lionel Messi returns to the national team and wins the 2022 World Cup, the Maradona vs Messi debate is unlikely to ever be resolved.

Who could blame them? The club is coached by Diego Maradona, who once won the World Cup in Mexico. After the match, Querétaro players invaded the Dorados team bus in search of photos with the Argentine legend.

For they think Diego was better than O’rei (The King) Pelé, but truth is that in the albicelestes' hearts, Diego was the greatest of all, not only on top of Pelé, but also of the other Argentinian legends like Leo Messi or Alfredo Di Stefano. All four of these players could be argued to be the GOAT, so why Diego Maradona in particular?
