The presidents of the United States and Portugal sat down for a bilateral meeting on Wednesday. Beforehand, Donald Trump and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa held a joint press briefing, with comments that ventured into the realm of soccer, the World Cup and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo and Puskas were tied with 84 goals apiece after the former’s hat trick against Spain on Friday. But Ronaldo didn’t wait long on Wednesday against Morocco to break that tie.

Cristiano Ronaldo had himself one hell of a game on Friday against Spain. He scored two first-half goals and finished off an incredible hat trick with a late equalizer in a 3-3 draw. The Ronaldo free kick vs Spain will go down as one of the greatest group-stage moments in World Cup history.
