Dortmund defender Mats Hummels still fuming over penalty call vs. PSV

BERLIN — Borussia Dortmund were left fuming over a penalty decision in Tuesday's Champions League round of 16 first leg that earned hosts PSV Eindhoven a 1-1 draw.

Donyell Malen had scored a superb goal for the visitors against his former side before Eindhoven's Luuk de Jong converted the spot kick in the 56th minute at the Philips Stadion.

"Zero percent penalty, zero," Dortmund defender Mats Hummels said of his challenge on Malik Tillman.

Gio Reyna’s transfer drama is over — he’s going to Nottingham Forest on loan

United States men’s national team talent Gio Reyna has been linked to several clubs across Europe as he seeks playing time away from Borussia Dortmund. There were many reports on where he could go but, in the end, a Gio Reyna Nottingham Forest loan is the outcome.

Reyna will be loaned to Forest until the end of the 2023-24 season, however the Premier League club won’t be given the option to permanently buy. Instead, the 21-year-old has signed a new contract with Dortmund that runs through 2026.

IS THIS THE ONE?! — Gio Reyna linked to Serie A's Fiorentina in last-minute transfer move

Gio Reyna has found himself a new suitor in the January transfer window. This might be the one.

Gio Reyna to Fiorentina rumors

It has been reported that Serie A club Fiorentina have joined the race to sign Giovanni Reyna on loan this winter — joining the likes of Marseille and Nottingham Forest as some of the clubs who’ve reportedly been interested in the American in the past few weeks.

Gio Reyna in loan talks with Nottingham Forest to escape Borussia Dortmund’s bench

A Gio Reyna Nottingham Forest loan move could be on the table as the United States men’s national team attacking midfielder seeks playing time.

Reyna has seen miniscule action with Borussia Dortmund this season as manager Edin Terzic has opted to use basically anyone not named Reyna. The 21-year-old American has only started one Bundesliga game for Dortmund in the 2023-24 campaign and is only used as a late substitute.

Reyna’s next destination could be a completely new kind of challenge as he’s in talks with a loan move to Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest.

Both sides squandered a bagful of golden chances in a surprisingly goalless first half.

The hosts had the early chances but PSG gradually found spaces and threatened with Lee Kang-in in the 16th minute and Kylian Mbappé's effort which was cleared by Niklas Süle at the last moment a little later.
