Hurley Drops World Cup Board Shorts Collection, Manages To Make Fun of USA

Even in the world of board shorts, the USA can’t escape a reminder about not making this year’s World Cup.

Hurley dropped a collection of board shorts of countries who are going to this year’s World Cup just in time for the upcoming summer. I’m not going to lie, I might have to buy a pair myself considering how nice they look. The range includes board shorts for England, France, Nigeria, Australia, Portugal and two different designs for the USA.

The designs are mainly based off the kits produced by Nike for each team. Nigeria's board shorts are modeled off of their warm-up shirt, while the rest are all modeled off of the home shirt of the country. The USA are lucky and somehow ended up with a home and away board short.

In the promotional picture below, Hurley even manages to poke a bit of fun to the USMNT and their failure to qualify for the World Cup. All the other teams in the locker room have boots and a ball on the table, but the USA locker features a surfboard and slides. Sorry Michael Bradley and co, not even Hurley will let you forget what happened.
