Viral: Fans find old posts revealing that Jude Bellingham and Dani Ceballos were FC Barcelona fans

Fans have uncovered old tweets from Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos and Jude Bellingham that have shown their soft side for FC Barcelona prior to becoming UEFA Champions League winners with Los Blancos.

The tweets, posted long before both players became key figures at the Bernabéu, show the two players expressing strong opinions that now seem to conflict with their current affiliations.

Ceballos, who is coming off an extraordinary performance in LaLiga against UD Las Palmas, seems to have previously shared pro-Barcelona sentiments on his X (previously known as Twitter), wearing a blaugrana jersey, celebrating Barcelona’s iconic 6-2 victory at the Bernabéu and even looking forward to defeating Real Madrid on FIFA career mode. 

The midfielder would go as far as deleting a tweet in which he demands that Frank Ribery win the 2013 Ballon d’Or over Cristiano Ronaldo after it made its way around social media.

Similarly, Jude Bellingham has also found himself in the spotlight of the Culé fans after older tweets resurfaced in which he appeared to show great admiration for Lionel Messi, knocking Ronaldo down from the ever-lasting GOAT debate.

These tweets have resurfaced shortly after Ceballos was called-out by Atlético Madrid manager, Diego Simeone, for being hypocritical against the comments made by Simeone surrounding the recent (and historical) refereeing controversies that have favored Real Madrid.

Ceballos, who said that Simeone’s comments were derived from a still opened wound caused by the manager’s two Champions League final losses against the Galacticos, was reminded by Simeone of what he thought about referees prior to joining Madrid. 

“[When] Ceballlos was at [Real] Betis, he thought differently. When they were on another team, they thought differently,” said Simeone.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will meet on the pitch on Saturday, Feb. 8, with these comments certainly holding on until the starting whistle.
