Tigres may have lost 3-0 in extra time of the Liga MX final to Club América on Sunday, but the club’s goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán was the big winner on the internet. Guzmán hiding under a tarp to watch the game after receiving a red card was amazing.
Let’s set the scene really quick. The situation was the two Liga MX clubs playing in the second leg of the final with the aggregate at 1-1. After 90 minutes the game went into extra time and Tigres were down a man after winger and substitute Raymundo Fulgencio saw red in the 80th minute.
Things went from bad to worse for Tigres when they conceded one minute into extra time and then goalkeeper Guzmán was sent off several minutes later.
The 37-year-old goalkeeper was miles away from his penalty box trying to stop a counter attack and made a complete mess of things. He appeared to leave the field but snuck back under a tarp to watch his team.

Meanwhile… in the Liga MX Final…

Guzmán could only watch on in horror as América went on to score two more goals and win the title.
He may not have won the Apertura 2023, but the goalkeeper gave us a moment we won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
