We didn't know Arsenal's Olivier Giroud was into professional wrestling, until we watched this video of a glitch in FIFA 15 that clearly shows Giroud using Randy Orton's finishing move, the Randy Knock Out (or RKO) on an unsuspecting defender after a goal. Everybody has a dark side, we guess, even the French.
The wrestling commentary added to the video was a nice touch, we thought.
We've had a few Messi-free weeks since the end of the Copa America, and it's been awful. He and his Brazilian wing-counterpart Neymar skipped Barcelona's USA tour because of the Copa, so we haven't seen the Argentine wonder in action in more than a month.
Luckily, that's coming to an end. Messi and Neymar, as well as countrymen Javier Mascherano (Argentina) and Dani Alves (Brazil) have come back to Barcelona training, serving as a welcome reminder that the new season is almost upon us.
This lady really likes Pedro.
Don't get us wrong, we're sure he's a nice guy and all, but this lady waited outside Barcelona's training facility for Pedro to come out, held a sign for him, had him sign it, and posed for a picture with him.
And did we mention that in the middle of all that she asked him if he was going to transfer somewhere, he said he didn't know and then she started cryting? Not, like, sniffling either. Weeping. Sobbing. Boo-hooing, if you will. We hope Pedro doesn't actually leave, for this lady's sake. She might never recover.

The USWNT midfielder and World Cup winner was invited to fly with the Navy's Blue Angels. Judging from her expression, she was a little nervous.
As hard as it might be to believe, it can be very easy to forget how charming Cristiano Ronaldo is. We read about his ex-girlfriend telling the world he made her feel insecure, or about how he had a birthday party after losing 4-0 in one of the year’s biggest matches. We hear about how arrogant he is, and how he represents so much of what people don’t like about athletes. We hear about all of this, and then we watch a clip like the one below and remember that, oh yeah, Ronaldo is still probably one of the coolest people alive.
Haris Vuckic, for a moment, ascended Mt. Olympus and became a god when he score this goal. As in he could have scored it, walked off the field, told the first person he saw “I’m not a footballer,” and left shattered souls in his wake because people had a feeling that somewhere out there someone like him existed, and now that they met him they are caught somewhere between hating and needing him and pondering where it all went wrong for them.
Nothing screams athletic ability like the Caucasian male. In his natural habitat, he is a thing to behold, wonder at, and pontificate greatly about with one’s peers.
I’m sorry, I had to. I had to show that video in order to make you appreciate, in all seriousness, just how truly exceptional of a player Peter Beardsley was.
Look, every person deserves a vacation. The stress of work can get to us all, especially when we fail horribly at something, like, I don’t know, the Brazilian National Team has for the entire past year.
PSG players, we are almost positive, are very athletic human beings. Soccer is a very demanding game that requires strength, agility and stamina, plus coordination and intelligence. They are good at soccer, as evidenced by the fact that they play for one of the best clubs in the world. They have dedicated their lives (so far) to soccer. And they should stick to it, because they are clearly not ready for other sports.

We always say that soccer can bring the truth out of people. If someone feels bad, or guilty, or if a crowd is really getting to them, then they tend to play bad too. It’s not exactly scientific. It can be quietly frankly wrong, but it just makes a certain kind of sense. If a player screws over a fan base and then proceeds to play poorly, or get injured, we tend to say to ourselves, “Good.” It’s as if some kind of universal balance is being maintained.
