Did you get your tickets for the Women’s World Cup semifinals and final in France? If not, you might be out of luck. Women's World Cup ticket sales have been through the roof, with the pack including the semifinals and final having already sold out shortly after going on sale.

The Stanford Cardinal women’s soccer program is at it again. The defending NCAA College Cup champion is the No. 1-ranked team in the land with an undefeated record of 15 wins and two ties. The Cardinal defeated No. 15 Colorado 7-0 on Oct. 21, and the side features the likes of Tierna Davidson (she’s been capped 12 times by the USWNT at the age of 20), 2017 Pac-12 All-Conference First Team selection Alana Cook and 2017 ESPNW Player of the Year Catarina Macario.

The USWNT has achieved what it set out to do in recent weeks and did so in style, scoring 26 goals and allowing 0 on its way to earning a France 2019 berth and lifting the Concacaf trophy.

The USWNT has lifted the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship after defeating Canada 2-0 in the final, wrapping up an 18-day competition with a record of five wins, zero defeats, 26 goals scored and zero conceded. The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France awaits.

The USWNT booked passage to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with an imperious 6-0 victory over Jamaica on Sunday night, and setup a much-anticipated CONCACAF Women’s Championship final against Canada in the process.

With automatic qualification hanging in the balance, the U.S. raced out to a 5-0 lead by the 33rd minute, and it would be ridiculous to single out an individual for praise in the face of such overall team excellence.

Last October, FIFA announced the 2018 men’s World Cup would dole out $400 million in prize money. This October, FIFA announced the 2019 women's World Cup prize money would also increase its prize money substantially — but not nearly enough. 

From the 2014 to the 2018 World Cups, FIFA increased the men’s payouts by $42 million to a cool $400 million, with France receiving $38 million as World Cup champion. 

The USWNT completed its demolition of Group A with a convincing 7-0 win over the women Soca Warriors at Sahlen Stadium in Cary, North Carolina last night. Head coach Jill Ellis decided to return to her preferred line up — the starting XI she went with for the opening 6-0 win against Mexico — for the team’s final group game.
