USMNT vs. Saudi Arabia player ratings: Let's do this quick and forget it ever happened

Oh boy. After getting played off the pitch against Japan last Friday, our USMNT vs Saudi Arabia player ratings from Tuesday's friendly in Spain aren't much better.

Saudi Arabia entered the match having recently gone goalless against Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador, and that lack of a cutting edge was evident against the U.S. — although the Americans did take it in turns to gift opportunities to the Green Falcons.

Galaxy and LAFC go for MLS attendance record with 2023 El Tráfico at the Rose Bowl

Back in March, Charlotte FC set the MLS attendance record when 74,479 showed up at Bank of America Stadium for the club's inaugural home match against LA Galaxy. Now the visitors are looking to bring the record back home with a 2023 El Tráfico of LA Galaxy vs LAFC at the Rose Bowl (capacity: 88,565).

Oh, and it's the season opener.

Chicharito scores a brace in response to a clown-inspired tifo in the Cali Clasico

You don't provoke Javier "Chicharito" Hernández. It is the lesson that a few San Jose Earthquakes fans learned Saturday night after deploying a tifo vs. LA Galaxy that ended up inspiring the striker to score a brace against them.

The supporter wanted to create a hostile environment for the LA Galaxy in a new edition of the Cali Clasico, unraveling a giant banner mocking them – and LAFC – with the message: "The LA Circus – Same clowns, different costumes."

A Soccer Player's Journey Across the Globe

Soccer in New Zealand is physical, competitive and for me it was an important part of my everyday life back home.

Due to the country being small, New Zealand doesn’t have its own professional league. There is only one professional men’s soccer club in the country. Unlike Europe or other parts of the world, this makes the pathway to a professional contract unorthodox and the lack of systems in place mean that you must pave your own way.
