Stand Collapses During Post-Match Celebrations In Netherlands

After recording a 1-0 away win over NEC to climb to sixth in the Eredivisie table, Vitesse players went over to celebrate with their traveling contingent at the Goffertstadion in Nijmegen, Netherlands. 

Bouncing in unison, a segment at the bottom of the stand suddenly collapsed in the center, sending supporters tumbling toward the rift while players watched on in horror. 

Medical Emergency In Stands Halts Play Between Newcastle And Tottenham

Newcastle United’s first match since the sale of the club to a Saudi Arabian-backed consortium was brought to a halt in the 41st minute after players, referee and medical teams quickly responded to an emergency in the stands at St. James’ Park.

Aaron McCarey, the goalkeeper of Irish Premiership team Glentoran, received a red card for striking teammate Bobby Burns during a 2-2 draw with Coleraine on Saturday.

After Coleraine's Cathair Friel scored the equalizer 80 minutes into the game,  29-year-old McCarey lashed out and raced towards defender Burns, causing him to fall to the ground.
