Jesse Marsch And Leipzig Part Ways With Club Sitting 11th In The Bundesliga

RB Leipzig, last season's Bundesliga runners-up, have mutually agreed to part company with head coach Jesse Marsch after a poor start to the season, the German club said on Sunday.

Leipzig suffered a 2-1 defeat at Union Berlin on Friday, a third consecutive league loss that left them 11th in the standings and piled pressure on American Marsch who was not at the game due to being in COVID-19 quarantine.

Marsch, who joined this season to replace Bayern Munich-bound Julian Nagelsmann, has led his team to only five wins in 14 league games.

The Disparity In These Red-Card Calls Will Make Your Blood Boil (Unless You’re A Liverpool Fan)

On Wednesday morning, the NCAA slammed Oklahoma State’s men’s basketball team with a postseason ban for an infraction that happened four years ago where the only player involved received a mere $300 (players are now allowed to be paid). For fans of college sports, this was yet another case of the NCAA crushing a smaller school for a minor infraction while letting the blue bloods of the sport off scot-free for major violations.

Tyler Adams Owes Jesse Marsch And All Of America An Apology

If European football wasn’t as familiar with American manager Jesse Marsch as it should’ve been, it sure as hell is now. On Tuesday, the RB Leipzig boss masterminded a stirring performance at the Parc des Princes that had the German side deservedly ahead 2-1 with just over 20 minutes to play.

But a terrible mistake from American midfielder Tyler Adams allowed Lionel Messi to equalize before a rash challenge in the area gifted PSG another from the spot.

Jesse Marsch Jokes About Using 7-Man Backline Vs. PSG, But Maybe He’s Not Joking

Jesse Marsch’s first season as RB Leipzig manager was always going to be full of growing pains. He had impossibly large shoes to fill in replacing Julian Nagelsmann — who led Leipzig to the 2020 Champions League semifinals, becoming the youngest-ever coach to reach that stage — and Marsch inherited a side in transition with Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer following Nagelsmann to Bayern Munich while Ibrahima Konaté signed with Liverpool.

Look Away USMNT Fans, Jack Grealish Just Stole Tyler Adams’ Lunch Money And Left Him For Dead

Manchester City and RB Leipzig played the most thrilling game to open up the 2021-22 Champions League season with a nine-goal thriller that saw City win 6-3. American fans won’t want to talk about the Jack Grealish vs Tyler Adams moment for City’s fourth goal.

Adams was caught ball watching and far too lackadaisical tracking back to get to a ball in his final third. His slowness allowed Grealish to pick up the ball and proceed to do horrible things to the American. Close your eyes USMNT fans, Adams is about to get murdered.

Inter Drops Fire Third Kit Perfect For Laser Tag, Made All The Better By The Meaning Behind It

Third kits come in a lot of varieties. Most are just alternate color schemes to sell more jerseys to folks who buy one every season. Some clubs just play it safe and follow a boring scheme shared by other clubs. And then there’s the third way, one RB Leipzig has popularized with some stunning uniforms. The Inter third kit 2021-22 falls firmly into that last category.
