When the fans of a club want their manager to hit the road they often express their displeasure via banners and a #so-and-so-out. The hashtag for a manager to go often hits the social feeds after a tough loss, even Gregg Berhalter has had his name trending in an outward direction.

Supporters of Portuguese giants Benfica have taken their expression of resentment toward their manager to a whole new, genius level.

Not long ago, Central Scotland was home to a generational footballing talent. Scouts from across Europe descended on the coastal city of Dundee to watch teenage sensation Ryan Gauld as he slalomed past Premiership defenders and picked apart backlines with his inch-perfect passes.

Standing 5-5 (he has since grown to 5-7) with an innate quickness and a deft left foot, Gauld quickly drew comparisons to Lionel Messi — gaining him nicknames such as: "Baby Messi," "Mini Messi" and "Aberdeen Messi" (the last one a tribute to the youngster's hometown).

As domestic leagues across Europe enter the final weeks of their seasons, not only are league titles at stake, but qualification for next season's Champions League is also yet to be resolved.

Only 11 of the 26 automatic qualification spots for the UCL group stage have been officially determined, and more than half of the 55 playoff spots are up for grabs. 

With so many bids up for grabs across the continent, tracking the qualification process can be very difficult.
