Jürgen Klinsmann looks for quick fix after disappointing start with South Korea

Jürgen Klinsmann has defended his underwhelming start to life as South Korea coach with the German yet to win any of his four games in charge since taking over from Paulo Bento.

Klinsmann was appointed in February and his team have drawn twice and lost twice as the Koreans look to build on their run to the knockout rounds of last year's World Cup under his Portuguese predecessor.

An opening draw with Colombia was followed by losses against Uruguay and Peru while Klinsmann's side were held to a 1-1 draw by El Salvador on Tuesday in their most recent international.

Inter Miami confirms date of Lionel Messi's debut

Lionel Messi is set to play his first game for Inter Miami on July 21 when the Major League Soccer side host Mexico's Cruz Azul in their Leagues Cup opener, managing owner Jorge Mas told the Miami Herald newspaper on Tuesday.

Messi and Miami have agreed terms on a deal and are finalizing paperwork and visas after the Argentine great's announcement this month of his intention to join the club.

The 35-year-old will sign a two-and-a-half year deal worth $50 million to $60 million per year with an option to extend until 2026, according to the Miami Herald.

Latest USMNT preliminary roster includes John Brooks among other surprises

John Brooks was one of several surprise inclusions on the 60-man United States men’s national team preliminary roster for the Concacaf Nations League. There could be a chance for a John Brooks USMNT reunion.

The Concacaf Nations League resumes in June with the United States vs. Mexico and Canada vs. Panama as the semifinals. The tournament requires teams to release preliminary rosters with up to 60 players and those were unveiled on Friday.

There's a man with a chainsaw in the stadium and we're not in Portland

Things got a little out of hand during a recent CAF Champions League quarterfinal between Espérance and JS Kabylie in Tunisia. The match experienced a 40-minute delay to the second half after fans clashed with security forces around the stadium, and firefighters were required to put out several small fires in the stands.

Also, a storage room was looted and some of the equipment was later seen being used in the riots, including a chainsaw. According to Reuters, the chainsaw-wielding man has since been arrested.
