Liga MX

Liga MX Starts Today, Rejoice!

Liga MX returns tonight. At 8:00 p.m. EST Morelia will play Monterrey, and at 10:00 p.m. EST Tijuana will play Cruz Azul. These matches will kick off the 2017 Apertura, and we could not be more excited.

Liga MX is consistently one of the most entertaining leagues in the world, and is underrated in terms of quality. It's fun, good soccer mixed with fights and foghorns and all manner of craziness soccer fans have come to expect fron other soccer fans. Liga MX is also the most-watched soccer league in the USA, surpassing MLS and even the English Premier League.

The two have impressive records at the Cup. Mexico has 7 titles, the U.S. has 5.

3 Things Liga MX Is Doing That MLS Can’t Figure Out

I love soccer. I can’t get enough of it. So this is always a bittersweet time of year. Domestic leagues are coming to an end. Cup competitions are finishing up. In fact, many of Europe’s top leagues had been settled for the past few weeks and lacked final-day drama. So in order to get my fix of intense, competitive league football, I turned my attention to Mexico and the Liga MX Liguilla playoffs.

And I fell in love.
