You might remember Diego Forlán as the fierce blonde striker known for his goals with LaLiga giants Villarreal and Atlético Madrid. Or as the man scoring amazing golazos in the 2010 FIFA World Cup with Uruguay during their historic run to a third-placed finish.

The art of flopping is attempted by many, mastered by few. Only the greats like Neymar and Arjen Robben can place themselves upon the Mount Rushmore of flops as their admirers can merely attempt to recreate their mastery.

One Kansas football player has put his name on the ballot for the best flop of 2023. During a bowl game between Kansas and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the Jayhawk player summoned his inner Neymar after being lightly touched on the sideline.

If you think back to some of your angriest moments in life, what did you do? Throw something? Kick a wall? Take your anger out on someone else? Luis García, the manager of LaLiga club Alavés, did all three of those on Thursday during a furious temper tantrum.

When you think of the worst flops in soccer you think of names like Neymar and Arjen Robben. A recently unearthed Aston Villa Micah Richards flop might join the Mount Rushmore of flops.

The ridiculous flop was shown during CBS’ coverage of the Champions League with Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Richards. Liverpool legend Carragher was critical of Manchester City youngster Micah Hamilton flopping during the game vs. Red Star Belgrade.

United States men’s national team and PSV defender Sergiño Dest is loving life at his new club and playing with supreme confidence. The Dest nutmeg vs Arsenal from Tuesday’s Champions League game is a prime example.

During the game, Dest bested Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior with a nutmeg that looked like it was straight out of an old “Jogo Bonito” video. Destinho was cooking with his move.
