Youth Player Racially Abused During Match, So League Plans Match With All Players In Blackface

A 10-year-old boy was racially abused during a soccer match by a mother of an opposing player on Saturday in Italy. The youngster played on and only reported the abuse after the match.

In response, those clubs will take a stand against racism this weekend — by making their youth players wear blackface in a match. 

Reggae Girlz Midfielder, 20, Stabbed To Death In Kingston

Tarania “Plum Plum” Clarke, a member of the Jamaica women’s national team and captain of reigning Jamaica champion Waterhouse FC, was stabbed to death on Thursday in Kingston, Jamaica, authorities confirmed Friday.

Police said Clarke, 20, was killed by another woman after a fight broke out at a bar after a dispute over a cell phone. That woman, who has not been identified, has been arrested. 

Clarke had planned on moving to the United States in 2020 to go to college.

The weather in Boulder, Colorado, where The18 is headquartered, has been nothing short of miserable this week. Since a snowstorm blew in on Sunday, the temperature hasn’t gone above freezing, with windchills dipping below zero.
