I’ve heard people say on many occasions that Jack Grealish has what we call a punchable face. Ángel Correa went a different route and sent the Champions League ball into the Man City winger’s face.

Late in Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Atlético Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday, Grealish fell to the pitch following a challenge from Sime Vrsaljko near the midfield sideline. Correa followed it up by kicking the ball at Grealish, hitting the player in the chin.

Fresh off her mini Twitter feud with Ashlyn Harris — nothing wrong with adding a little spice to the NWSL Challenge Cup group stage — USWNT and Washington Spirit forward Trinity Rodman had a goal and two assists in her side's 4-1 victory over the Orlando Pride at Audi Field (not some amateur shit high school field) on Sunday.

The Spirit opened the scoring in the 43rd minute after Ashley Hatch left Rodman's low cross into the area for Ashley Sanchez.

BARCELONA - Barcelona's teenage sensation Pedri scored a magnificent goal in the second half to secure a 1-0 win over fading Sevilla on Sunday as they climbed above their opponents into second spot in LaLiga after extending their winning streak to five games.

The 19-year-old Pedri created and scored the winner in a similar style to the trademark goals Lionel Messi scored for Barcelona before leaving to join Paris St-Germain last year.

LONDON - Tottenham Hotspur moved into the Premier League top four after a second-half blitz of goals from Matt Doherty, Son Heung-min, Emerson Royal and Steven Bergwijn fired them to an emphatic 5-1 home win over Newcastle United on Sunday.

Spurs are now level on 54 points with Arsenal but their London rivals have two games in hand and can move back into fourth place when they visit Crystal Palace on Monday. Newcastle are 15th with 31 points, nine clear of the relegation zone.

Since joining Liverpool in January to play under former manager Matt Beard, American striker Katie Stengel has been an unstoppable force in the FA Women's Championship, scoring six goals in 10 games and adding another in the FA Women's Cup. 

Over those 10 league matches, Liverpool has won eight and drawn two, including a 4-2 victory over second-place Bristol City on Sunday that clinched the second division title and a return to the Women's Super League following relegation in 2019-20.
