Former Man United Keeper Anders Lindegaard Scores 90th-Minute Equalizer

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard — who made 29 appearances for the club between 2011 and 2014 — is back on our radar after scoring the first goal of his career while playing for Sweden’s Helsingborg.

In a match between Allsvenskan strugglers, Helsingborg escaped with a draw against Falkenberg after Lindegaard came forward for a corner kick in the 90th minute and planted a towering header inside the far post.

Legendary Spanish Keeper Iker Casillas Quietly Ends Spell With Porto

MADRID — Spain's World Cup-winning captain and goalkeeper Iker Casillas has called time on his five-year spell with Porto after his contract with the Portuguese club expired on Wednesday.

Casillas, 39, suffered a heart attack during a training session last year and has not played any competitive football since April 2019.

Gianluigi Buffon’s Contract Extension Begs The Question: Could He Play Forever?

I remember when, back in the fall of 2017, Andrés Iniesta put pen to paper on a lifetime contract with Barcelona. A part of me immediately understood that it was, in theory, merely symbolic (he would move to Vissel Kobe come summer), but there was a part of me that really wanted to learn that the contract was actually practical: Why not keep Iniesta in Barcelona’s midfield until the age of 76?

Sheffield United's Dean Henderson Makes His Case To Be England's No. 1

While Aston Villa goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland may have stolen the headlines on Premier League reopening day for his blunder in net, his counterpart Dean Henderson once again shone in goal for Sheffield United. Henderson recorded his 11th clean sheet for the Blades, tying for the league lead.

This save to deny Villa striker Keinan Davis is Henderson at his finest:

Neal Maupay Successfully Embedded Himself Under The Skin Of Arsenal, And He Brought Salt

Arsenal is in a world of shit right now.

The Gunners looked to be turning things around with three straight Premier League wins before the novel coronavirus pandemic forced the league to shut down. Upon return, Arsenal has looked worse than ever in the Mikel Arteta era. Adding to the shitstorm, Arteta is losing players to injury faster than my partner left the room after I started playing The Last of Us Part II.

Jimmy Glass And The Story Of The Greatest Goal You've Never Seen

In soccer annals, the year 1999 might be best known for Manchester United's stoppage time equalizer and winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

But three weeks earlier, another last-minute winning goal, scored by a goalkeeper, yes a goalkeeper, meant far more to Carlisle United supporters than a Champions League trophy.

Arsenal Keeper Bernd Leno Says Bundesliga Is "Boring And Sad." He Might Have A Point

In a recent interview, Arsenal and Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno called out the Bundesliga for its monotony as Bayern Munich prepares to win an eighth straight title.

The first reaction to reading his quote is typically: "Says the guy who's in ninth place and 42 points behind Liverpool.”

Hertha Berlin Keeper Swats Ball Into Own Net During Moment Of Madness

To maintain any chance of catching Bayern Munich and winning the Bundesliga title, third-place Leipzig needed to defeat 11th-place Hertha Berlin on Wednesday at Red Bull Arena.

Things started out poorly with Hertha’s Marko Grujić, on loan from Liverpool, opening the scoring in the ninth minute. However, Leipzig responded in the first half through Lukas Klostermann before the home side had Marcel Halstenberg sent off for a second yellow card in the 63rd minute.
