A dramatic late goal from Carlos Tevez gave Boca Juniors the Argentine league title on Saturday, as the Buenos Aires club overcame Gimnasia 1-0 to pip their arch rivals River Plate on a breathtaking last day of the season. 

River led the Superliga over Boca by a point going into their final round of games and could have guaranteed the title with a victory. However, they could only scrape a 1-1 draw away at Atletico Tucuman.

The adidas Predator Manias were by far the greatest cleats the 2000s had ever seen. These cleats were years ahead of their time. This was back when the new millennium was still trying to find its way, there was this whole Internet thing, nobody knew what it really was, we were all a bunch of tadpoles aimlessly wandering around in our own way.

Not adidas. Not these cleats. They just … they slapped different. As a cool 12-year-old, I was a die-hard Nike kid but damn did I trade in my Tiempos for Predator Manias real fast.

In December, Ben Foster made a promise to 12-year-old Molly Hall that he was going to have her be one of the kid mascots for Watford when it hosted Liverpool. He kept that promise.

Molly has leukemia and gets around in a wheel chair, but that wasn’t going to stop Foster and Molly from coming out of the tunnel before kickoff. They even had a little joke about leaving tire marks on the pitch.
