The Front-Flip Scorpion Kick Exists, And A German Third-Tier Player Just Did It

We did not know that under the current laws of physics this goal was even possible. But it is. We've seen the video. And now you have too (or you will once you're done with the article).

This happened in the German third division, which is not a place where we normally go to find potential goals of the year. And yet here it is, in all its glory. A front-flipping scorpion kick. Zlatan Ibrahimovic hasn't even done this (yet).

The 15 Mexicans In Europe That Can Make Mexico Proud This Season

It’s difficult to succeed in Europe for Mexican footballers. It’s a whole new ball game compared to Mexico. They have to make do with the fact that good Mexican food will be hard to come by. Not that I’ve been to England (one of these days it’ll happen), but seriously I truly doubt you’ll find good Chile Relleno walking the streets of London. More seriously, players also have to make do with the fact that they’ll have to learn a new language and that the weather will be much different. In general, for anyone starting a new job in a new location, it's a difficult task.

Hertha Berlin's Bus Got Shot Before A German Cup Game

It's not all fun and games for Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga these days.

According to The Guardian, the club's bus was attacked by an unknown assailant before their German Cup game at Arminia Bielefeld. Reportedly, a motorcyclist pulled alonside the bus, threatened the driver with his fist, pulled in front of the bus and fired a shot into the windshield.

The bullet failed to penetrate the bus. No players were on the bus at the time.

Raul Jimenez Completes Move To Benfica

Raul Jimenez left Club America for Spain not too long ago. Back then, the former Aguilas ace was developing into the next America legend, appearing 96 times for America and scoring 36 goals.

Not only was he being influential with America but he was proving to be influential with Mexico as well, participating in the team that won Olympic gold in 2012. Back then, his career was soaring and so when he signed for Diego Simeone, many believed that he would have a shot at shining for Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

Can Barcelona Keep Their Momentum In The Spanish Super Cup?

The Spanish Super Cup is a competition which has taken place since 1982, pitting the Spanish league champion against the champion of the Copa del Rey.

Until 1995, if a team won both the league and cup titles it won the Super Cup by default. However, since 1996, if a team does the double it must face the runner-up from the Copa del Rey for the right to claim the trophy.

This is the case in 2015. Barcelona, who won both trophies in 2015, will face Athletic Club de Bilbao on August 14 at San Mames and August 17 at Camp Nou.

Messi Regains Status As The Most Humble Superstar In The Game

Barcelona won the UEFA Super Cup Tuesday and Messi was the star with two free kick goals. His immense talent was on display, and one lunatic is claiming Messi's goals were due to luck. That lunatic is Lionel Messi.

"I've just been lucky enough to score those and I'm very happy the team won and very grateful to everyone for their support and such a warm welcome," Messi said after the game.

A Referee Made A Facebook Page To Explain His Decisions. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Mohammed Al-Hakim might be the bravest referee in the world. Al-Hakim, who works in the Swedish top division, has created a Facebook page where he explains various decisions he made during matches.

Ostensibly, this sounds like a grand idea, a way for referees to better connect with fans and perhaps come to some kind of understanding. Case in point: the long and we're sure (although we can't read Swedish) well explained post below:

Fans In Azerbaijan Beat A Journalist To Death After He Criticized A Player

Journalist Rasim Aliyev of Azerbaijan was killed after being beaten by a fan for criticizing Javid Huseynov, also of Azerbaijan.

According to the BBC, Aliyev accused Huseynov of being "immoral" and "ill-bred" in a Facebook post after Huseynov made a crude gesture at a reporter who asked why Huseynov waved a Turkish flag at the supporters of a team from Cyprus. The gesture came following a Europa League qualifier between Gabala FC and Apollon Limassol.

The18 Previews The UEFA Super Cup

The UEFA Super Cup, between the winners of the Champions League and Europa League will take place between Barcelona and Sevilla tomorrow.

Angel Di Maria Writes Open Letter, Says He Is “Really Sorry” For United Flop

Angel Di Maria has written an open letter to Manchester United after having completed his big money move to Paris Saint-Germain, ostensibly in order to smooth things over with a fan base that holds him in just slightly higher regard than Radamel Falcao, which is to say it doesn’t like him.

The letter is professional, and makes it clear that he is really sorry for failing to live up to expectations.

To Manchester United:
