Monterrey Does CONCACAF Proud In Heartbreaking Defeat To Liverpool

Monterrey gave Liverpool all it could handle in today’s FIFA Club World Cup semifinal in Qatar. The two sides exchanged early goals through Naby Keïta and Rogelio Funes Mori, but it was the substitute Roberto Firmino who scored the dramatic winner in second half stoppage time to book Liverpool’s place in the final, where they’ll meet Copa Libertadores champion Flamengo.

Chelsea Stars Test Their Focus While Playing New Pokémon Games (With Puppies!)

With the new Pokémon Sword and Shield games recent release, GAME brought in Chelsea Women stars Bethany England and Fran Kirby to go head to head in the game.

The English forwards were told they would be distracted while playing but the two did not think much of the light threat.

“Joe have said they’re going to try and distract us but I can’t see that happening,” England said. “We’re professional athletes.”

Liverpool’s Kids Get Smashed With Adults Out Of Town

Jurgen Klopp was out of town. All the club’s top players were out of town. Basically all of Liverpool’s first team was in Doha, Qatar, preparing for a Club World Cup semifinal against Monterrey.

So Liverpool left U-23 coach Neil Critchley in charge of a bunch of kids for the club’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal against Aston Villa. The Reds got smashed.

Arsenal Throws Özil Under Bus, Caves To China With Pathetic Hypocrisy

Arsenal threw Mesut Özil under the bus, but it wasn’t even enough to save the Gunners’ match against Manchester City on Sunday from being blacked out in China.

Kevin De Bruyne Is So Ridiculously Good Right Now It Hurts

Kevin De Bruyne is not the fastest player. He’s not the strongest nor is he even particularly physically imposing. But De Bruyne vs Arsenal was an absolute joy to watch on Sunday.

De Bruyne had two goals and an assist in the first half alone as Manchester City ripped Arsenal to shreds 3-0 at the Emirates on Sunday. The redheaded Belgian was at his glorious best, dictating the match and providing fantastic finishes. If not for Gunners keeper Bernd Leno, KDB would’ve had at least three or four goals.

Monterrey Sets Date With Liverpool In Club World Cup After Cracking Thunderbolt From Vangioni

Leonel Vangioni booked a date with Liverpool with one monstrous lash of his left foot.

Monterrey’s 31-year-old Argentine left back launched a stunning long-range goal to help his team beat Al-Sadd 3-2 in the Club World Cup quarterfinals on Saturday in Qatar. The victory sends Los Rayados to the semifinals against UEFA Champions League champion Liverpool on Wednesday.

You’ll Need A Napkin To Watch Mo Salah’s Filthy Backheel Nutmeg Goal

Mohamed Salah is starting to catch fire. The second Mo Salah goal vs Watford on Saturday may have been his best yet.

The Egyptian wonder had a goal and an assist against Bournemouth last weekend and a goal against RB Salzburg in the Champions League during the week. Salah scored twice in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Watford at Anfield that sent the Reds 10 points ahead of second-place Leicester City.

Salah’s first was a beauty in its own right. The winger who highly favors his left foot showed he can also score curlers with his right to open the scoring in the 38th minute.

Chelsea's Leaked FA Cup Kit Is A Glorious Throwback

Remember the year 1970? That was a fun time right? Nixon ordered the invasion of Cambodia, Apollo 13 safely returned after the oxygen tank leaked, the Beatles broke up... OK, maybe it wasn't that great, but who the hell knows, I wasn't even born yet.

Watch Every Angle Of Son Heung-min’s Lung-Busting, Box-To-Box Solo Goal

The fifth goal of Son Heung-min’s 2019-20 Premier League season was perhaps the finest he’s ever scored for Tottenham. Beginning at the edge of his own area, the 27-year-old attacker took off at a brisk pace before roaring through the gears and leaving eight Burnley defenders in his torrential wake.

Monaco’s Tiémoué Bakayoko Forgets Number During Match And Tries To Sub Himself Off

Look, we've all been there. We've accidentally walked into the wrong work cubicle after moving a few weeks prior, went to the wrong classroom after the start of a new semester or called our significant other by our ex's name (hopefully this one doesn't happen too often).

We become so used to doing something that we just do it on autopilot. That's what happened to the ever-confusing player that is Tiémoué Bakayoko on Saturday.

Once dubbed the future holding midfielder partner of N'Golo Kante at Chelsea, the French international is now on loan with Monaco for the season.
