Euro 2024 qualifying groups: Italy faces England, France lands the Netherlands
FRANKFURT, Germany - Defending champions Italy will face England in their Euro 2024 qualifying group, a repeat of last year's tournament final, following the draw on Sunday in Frankfurt's Festhalle.
The Italians, who beat England 3-2 on penalties at London's Wembley stadium in 2021 to lift the trophy will also play North Macedonia, who prevented Roberto Mancini's side from reaching the World Cup, and Malta in Group C.
Denmark’s World Cup kit designs are a powerful anti-Qatar protest
Hummel, the designer for Denmark’s World Cup kits, released the Danish jerseys on Wednesday with a message to host nation Qatar. Hummel announced that the kits they designed are in memory of the thousands of migrant workers who died building Qatar’s World Cup infrastructure.
"While we support the Danish national team all the way, this shouldn't be confused with support for a tournament that has cost thousands of people their lives,” Hummel’s statement said.
In search of an equalizer — The best heading threats at the World Cup
It's the 88th minute of a World Cup knockout stage game. Your country is clinging to a 1-0 lead and the pressure is mounting. After an extended period of play in your defensive third, the ball goes out for a corner kick.
You can finally take a breath, but who is this sauntering forward into the penalty area? It's the 6-6 center back who has barely left his half all game. His sizeable forehead and broad shoulders stand above the scrum forming in the 18. A pit grows in your stomach as you can almost see the scoreboard saying "1-1."
Just How Hot Is Qatar? Hot But Not Sweltering Temps Will Be The Norm At World Cup
Scorching temperatures are one of the many reasons Qatar is the most controversial World Cup host of all time. During June and July, the months in which the World Cup is traditionally held, temperatures in the Arab nation peak around 120 degrees Fahrenheit, a temperature at which, unsurprisingly, it is simply unsafe to play a 90+ minute soccer match.
Giant Sinkhole At Austria-Denmark Match Is A Bit Concerning
There's no time like the present to increase your audience by splicing together whatever it is your doing with the global Stranger Things: Season 4 phenomenon, and the national teams of Austria and Denmark tapped into that golden content on Monday during a Nations League match at Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna.
It began with the flickering of lights — goddamn Vecna up in here — and a power outage that delayed kickoff by 90 minutes. Fans tried to illuminate the pitch with cellphones to get the action started, but after that failed they did the wave.
The Best World Cup Jerseys Through The Years
The World Cup began in 1930 and we've gotten some great international kits since the competition began.

Goalscoring Christian Eriksen Enjoys ‘Perfect’ Denmark Return After Heart Attack At Euros
Christian Eriksen said he made his return to international football in the "perfect way" by scoring two minutes after coming on for Denmark on Saturday following a near-fatal heart attack last year.
Denmark lost 4-2 to the Netherlands in the international friendly, with Eriksen producing a stunning finish into the top corner in the 47th minute after he came on as a half-time substitute.
Christian Eriksen Could Be Club's "Greatest Signing Ever," Says Brentford Manager
Brentford manager Thomas Frank said on Thursday Christian Eriksen could be the club's "greatest signing" ever and he hoped the Danish midfielder would be able to make his Premier League debut within a few weeks.
The 29-year-old player joined Brentford as a free agent on Monday, seven months after he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during a European Championship match.
Eriksen's former club Inter Milan ended his contract in December because he is not permitted to play in Serie A due to the presence of a heart starter device (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator).
