Shaka Hislop collapses on live TV before Real Madrid vs. AC Milan friendly

ESPN FC commentator Shaka Hislop collapsed on live television directly before Real Madrid and AC Milan were scheduled to kick off at the Rose Bowl on Sunday night.

Hislop was previewing the match alongside Dan Thomas when, in the middle of a discussion on Christian Pulisic, he collapsed to the ground near the pitch. Thomas immediately called for aid and help rushed over.

ROME — Juventus have been deducted 15 points for the current season by an Italian soccer court investigating its transfer dealings, the national soccer federation (FIGC) said on Friday.

With 20 games left to play in this season, Juve were third in Serie A, 10 points adrift of leaders Napoli. The points deduction would push them down into mid-table, outside the spots for European competition.

OFFICIAL: Christian Pulisic cleared to play vs. Netherlands on Saturday

The U.S. men's national team said Friday that forward Christian Pulisic will play in Saturday's Round of 16 World Cup match against the Netherlands in Al Rayyan, Qatar.

The hero of Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Iran to advance out of Group B and into the knockout stage, Pulisic had been counting on playing all along. The team confirmed in a social media post on Friday afternoon that he, indeed, would play.

Juventus board of directors resign amid allegation of financial wrongdoing

It has been announced via a club press release that the Juventus board of directors has resigned immediately, including long-time club president Andrea Agnelli. Amid investigations into the Turin-based club’s finances, it was deemed necessary that the entire board “forego their office” to aid with the investigations. Juventus has endured a torturous season in 2022, and it seems to only be getting worse. 

American Outlaws hit back at New York Times article allegations

The United States’ largest soccer supporters group, the American Outlaws, came under fire Thursday following a New York Times article claiming that a board member accepted a free trip to Qatar in exchange for reporting individuals who are critical of the host nation. The Outlaws have vehemently denied these allegations and issued a statement, saying the organization has never taken money from FIFA or Qatar and will never do so.
